Wouldn’t recommend MM for soloing. BM has a much, MUCH easier time due to pets actually keeping aggro. Survival’s pretty decent as well due to the passive heal it gets.

With low gear probably warlock or hunter for the pet tanking ,or self sustain tanks like Blood DK or Vengeance DH.
Or if you do endgame for gear havoc has you covered for bursting down old content with plenty of selfheal to spare.
Druid ofc. Alternatively beast master hunter with spirit beast pet

Bm hunter… With 2 hippopotamus pets you overpower any enemy. 
Blood DK is best spec for soloing imo, or Paladin Protection with his Light of the Protector (this spell alone makes paladin tanks op), Warlock is good but you need to use health funnel instead of dpsing elite down, BM hunter is excellent too because mend pet is use and forget, but i found that hunter pets are squishy and healing may not be enough to solo harder opponents. Blood DK wins for me.
This can be worked around if you have Zandalari.
As Grainne said;
1- prot paladins do decent aoe and can barley die (lay on hands, 2 bubbles, self heal eith 15s (12 if speced and way lower if you take the last tier talent).
2- prot warriors can do such a massive aoe and can block almost all attacks, ignore pain to absorb damage, self heals if you kill an enemy.
3- blood death knights dosent have alot of aoe (only 1 with bloodstorm) but you heal the damage you take for the past 5s
4- vengeance demon hunter got an amazing mobility and self heals, good aoe
4- brewmasters monks and guardian druids do near decent aoe but they dont die.
Comming from tank main, hope i helped also if you dont like tanks then hunters and warlocks would be suited.
