The 400 ilvl piece of gear ruined Warmod even more that it was

reply to @Tunaaric :

I still play WoW both PvE and PvP and have (casual) fun, otherwise I wouldn’t pay the sub. The fun I have is its own reward, all in-game rewards (basically mounts & gear (loot and loot piñatas)) are just the shiny sprinkles.

WoW is essentially a " Theme Park MMORPG ", it even has an actual Theme Park (Darkmoon Faire), at least two “Jurassic Parks” (Zuldazar, Un’Goro Crater) and many scenarios and quests that quite literally
" run on rails " (any quest where you are in a vehicle etc).

Like an Amusement Park the " end " is when you leave because you paid for certain rides or the whole day and have to sleep. You can go back the next day, next week, next year, whenever or never, that’s up to you and as long as you pay the entry you get access to the rides. There will be new rides but having been once you know what to expect and buy into the “theme” when you buy a ticket.

My point is that the “end” is a movable feast and for some, the end is simply when you’ve had enough.

Some games do have an end. “Myst” is a good example from the past, it had a beginning, a middle and an end, as do most “story rich” and many “rogue-like” games.

There are many other examples of games with an end, I’m sure you can think of some.
WoW isn’t one of those games, as I mentioned earlier, you make your own end.

If ActiBlizz decides to pull the plug that will be another type of end, sadly beyond our control.

When only the horde get understand the reason for the existence of a raid, you can’t say there’s any alliance bias.

Uldir, I hear (I wouldn’t know, I’m alliance), has quests that tell you about Uldir. For all the Alliance know, Brann is tripping balls on a̶c̶i̶d̶ azurite and we’re here to get him out of a bad trip.

Topics like these is why we can’t point out a light-hearted advantage or disadvantage in the game and have a laugh.

Everyone instantly bandwagons us with the cry-patrol.

You talking about blizzard who managed to destroyed every single game they had…i bet they fired all the good team they had and they got apes in their possition to manage the games… just stop playing like most of ppl did years ago and you will be fine

Yep, in fact a lot of the main zone storylines revolve around uldir bosses.

Want to know about G’Huun and why Taloc starts on low HP, Nazmir will explain that one.
Want to know where Mythrax came from, Vol’dun will explain that.
Want to know about Zul, do Zuldazar.
Want to know why we needed to go to Uldir and why now, all the Horde zones tie into explaining that.

It kind of continues into the new raid too. If you want to know who Bwonsamdi is, why he’s allied with the troll King etc. you have to do all the Horde questlines.

Hey, the story can’t favour the Alliance all the time! Or ever.

You’ve completely misunderstood what I’m saying here.

People don’t buy games just to see the ending. It shouldn’t be the case that you have all this grinding and tedium just to see a nice cinematic ‘well done’ once you’ve finished. If that’s how people see games then they very much have a fundamental conflict with the medium.

They are allowed to play games this way; but they most certainly should be in no position to influence game design given how anti-game this attitude is.

You see the ending of the game isn’t actually playing the game, because that’s what happens AFTER. The actual ‘playing the game’ process supposed to be fun, and supposed to be worth doing FOR ITS OWN SAKE.

Wake up pls …

Haha, yeah. I actually still have no idea why the alliance entered Uldir. Literally no idea at all. As far as I can tell it would be an advantage if an Old God swallowed up Zandalar. Then we could deal with that after literally all the trolls were dead.

“Azeroth’s in peeein. Put a stop ter it, champion!” doesn’t really do it for me.

Also, my primary alt is a Pandaren, and she has very, very little inclination to help the Zandalari after they invaded her homeland and brought back the old slavemasters from the dead, let me tell you. :stuck_out_tongue:

I dont mind getting ganked in the open world against alli , i signed up for it with wm on but seriously, camping flight points with 4-5 5man party’s too get the 25 kills and then put wm off is not pvp at all even if its no rules in open world pvp. Remove that f…… quest , u already have 10% stronger buff already

Tortaka Refugee been camped for 2 hours now with 20+ people there, ive logged in and checked once and awhile. I guess the skill level of alliance players will go trough the roof with this quest

I left because I was constantly overrun by larger groups of horde when I was soloing. That’s why I turned warmode off. Everyone else I know reporting the same, it was simply not playable, and we got very little done, so the +10% bonus was the exact oposite of a bonus. There were just way too many horde in comparsion to Alliance, so that it was “balanced” is nothing but an illusion you carry because you had the upper hand from the start, and tables just turned through a direct hunt, and yes, I did participate.

However, I would not mind Horde getting the exact same quest. If anything I think that would make warmode more interesting, and more people teaming up. I gotta admit I had way more fun fighting with a 5 man group than going solo, and yes, my 5 man group just got hunted down and killed an hour ago by Horde who probably had enough of us at our camping spot, and grouped up against us. We camped the outdoor desert by the way. Assuming it’s a questing spot, 'cause it was a really good spot.

i have now been in vol’dun for 5 hours trying to do the world quest emissary quest there, and i have WM for the bonus since im trying to get exalted fast, but with the alliance ganking everyone there it is literally impossible. the alliance have 30% buff with war mode on and they are taking heavy advantage of that fact by ganking EVERYONE they see, even low lvls that dont stand a chance in hell, while we horde on tarren mill have the regular 10%, no quest to kill alliance and getting a simular reward like they do, so what can we do? no horde is interested in getting ganked if they arent getting anything out of it other then a long wait time to get ressed, you blizzard, yes im talking to you, you need to fix this right now, i know of atleast 40 people JUST TODAY, that are so fed up with this that they have cancelled their subscription to the game and uninstalled it, im not far from doing the same myself after having a constant sub for wow since vanilla.

I love all of this drama.

I remember when Horde players constantly called Alliance players babies for how much they ‘cry’ on the forums over things like WM.

Now the shoe is on the foot they’re apparently rage-unsubbing.

Better dead than red, buddies.

Give the gear quest to both sides to even things up. Let alliance keep the 20% warmode bonus.

I play both factions but in all honesty i am loosing any sense of sympathy or support for the alliance at this point and considering just abandoning my ally toons.

For ages alliance complained about being outnumbered and having the game rendered unplayable, but now they are behaving worse than the horde did when they had the larger numbers.

Alliance are now organising into multiple raid groups, going to the area horde has world quests daily on and camping ALL the flight masters in the zone, saw it myself earlier today.

Yeah horde organised into groups to overwhelm too, but they didn’t try to destroy an entire zones playability like this.

What’s funny is it used to just be server based. WoD and legion were quite heavily alliance favoured on my realms so I would sit in stealth and use throw just before WQ mobs died and re-stealth but now, after having PvP’d on the pvp server since vanilla on/off, I just decided to turn off warmode. I mean why bother leaving it on; wpvp has been crap for years and isn’t anything like it used to be. Now alliance have some incentive to raid and gank people, its probably worse.

So ya, I wont turn WM on. I think the idea of WM is stupid anyway.

Speaking of Horde friendly camps not being well guarded. It’s hilarious and pathetic how Vulperan Guards in Vulpera Hideaway don’t attack Alliance players but as soon as Horde players start to attack Alliance players, the HORDE GUARDS turn hostile towards HORDE PLAYERS. This must be a super early April’s Fools joke :joy:
