The absolut nonsense of Fear defensive with affliction lock

Playin in PVP (and warmode mainly) clearly shows, how affliction lock have absolutely no useful defensives.
We have shadowfury, must talented AOE targeted stun for 3 secs with casting time and cooldown (haha).
But mainly I want to talk about Fear, casting defensive spell with no cooldown (OK we have also talented instant AOE fear but with cooldown). Dear Blizzard, just tell me, what can I do with fear, when first dot damage cancel it. Seriously, what? What is the point of this defensive, when it is absolutely inapplicable. And just logically, how can any damage cancel fear inside any living being? Thanks

To interrupt cast in this case,thats how i use it if theres no 2nd target.

There’s actually a talent called “nightmare” that increases the damage thresh hold to break fear…

I can give you some tips for affliction in pvp:

As affliction you want to have slow engagements so you can get maximum dps with your dots. This means you gotta make use of the mechanics the class has to stay alive longer. If you are focusing on just doing damage then you are playing affliction wrong.

There are a lot of talents that buff drain life now and it even got buffed in a recent patch. The community has not found out yet but it’s actually really strong. You have to take all the talents on the left side of the warlock tree because they all increase survivability. Also the “death’s embrace” talent of affliction buffs drain life a lot.

The amount of shielding and healing you do is actually absurd.

Don’t forget to use the soulburn to buff drain life also.

Drain life is buffed in ptr 11.1, live is zero damage and zero healing. We need to wait 11.1 to use this spell, so fee week.

Affliction soul harvester is burst spec and you need to do max damage to.survive, not dot’s damage. Hellcaller maybe yes

It does low damage this is correct but the heal + shield you get from the soul burn version in conjunction with the other talents is actually very significant in PvP.

No one use drain life or soulburn+drain life in TWW, 4.5 sec for a full channel to gain a mini shield (maybe 500k) is a madness.

In ptr 11.1 drain life will be good and soulburn+drain life is great, i hope they don’t change when patch is live

Lol I actually made a mistake while testing drain life, i got myself low hp with the self harm training dummy and then walked over to the pvp training dummy and watched my hp jump by 3000k when using drain life. It was in fact the pvp stats kicking in from the training dummy that was healing me. Not drain life.
