Yes it gives you a gem slot on several items, but only where they don’t already have a socket. You can’t add them to items with domination sockets.

Yeah, agreed, it’s the worst reputation in the game.
Because it’s timegated but there is no catch up if you were not able to loggin for let’s say a week or 2.
Not to mention the fact it’s RNG and that some days I can kill 4 gorgers and others with none. It’s just bad.
Well my journey is finally done - tier 6 with 50k saved up to spend. Once I have my last mounts (the Venthyr+NF class ones ) then I am done with this place.
Such a poor grind (I don’t mind grinds) but the rng aspect of this is mind blowing my main (this one) gets anima quests day after day my alts who I only bring for mount runs get showered with research relics. … rng has no place here. quests should reward the same for everyone as should rares.

Im still tier 4, got some bad rng and gave up. Stupid grind, would make so much more sense for the crap to drop in actual content and not doing WQ for garbo ~200ilvl gear and anima.
The content this patch gave us is as compelling to do as walking bare foot on broken glass.

i calculated i got 650 rep a day doing just the dailies and killing the rares that spawn while doing them. About an hours farming. if you are like me and mid way through rank 4 (which you should be if you are a casual player) then ive calculated it will take:
To finish rank 5: 11000 / 2 = 5500 / 650 = 8.4 = 9 Days
Tank 5 to Rank 6: 16000 / 650 = 24.6 = 25 Days
So at the rate i am farming, i should be rank 6 in 25 + 9 = 34 days provided i dont miss a day and i stick to this same rate of farming.
Is it worth it?
Well thats 4 weeks and my guild is currently doing heroic SOD so thats 4 runs of that, which is low drop rate. Also i dont really do much mythic+ as im not keen on the system but even if i was the drop rate in that is terrible atm. The patch will be out in what, another 3-4 months? Plus there is the extra weeks of farming the reserach to upgrade the armor pieces after i have reached rank 6, so yeah id say its worth it, for those extra few months afterwards.
Is it worth it in the long run? Of course not, as the progression resets each patch as the way it has always been.

Blizzard does not care. This is another carrot with stick grind to keep you subscribed and logged in every day grinding away. It works for getting alts to ilvl 220 but trying to get to rank 4+ is just stupid. It’s faster to just gear up with PvP boosts… which I hate as well as I do not understand why I pay Blizz a sub but then I have to pay other players as well to progress? WOW is now pay to win. Bye bye community.
Well I reached rank 6 last night and i found it slightly amusing I couldn’t buy the Korthia Armor upgrade item until today’s reset it’s almost as if someone in ActiBlizz calculated exactly when I would ding rank 6.
I do agree that they need to be a bit more liberal with Korthia relics or spin up perm dailies that give at least 600 rep each day.
Unsure if this has been answered for you but there are Hidden Relic Jars in The Maw which spawn on a biweekly basis (2 related to the current covenant assault and 3 hidden in the rift)
I found doing those a few times greatly increased my korthia relic acquisition.
Thanks, I reached tier 6 early last week. I watched a YT video (we shouldn’t have to, to play a game) and learned that some can be gained in the Maw area (Rift chest etc.) I was unaware of this until then.

This is stil the worst reputation in the game, because there are no small upgrades provided at lower ranks, it’s either you’re tier 6, either you’re not getting the things you’re grinding for.
This is an RNG timegated reputation without catch up, so those 3 elements make it so tedious to farm.
Again, I’m not against grinding, since it’s core to the MMORPG game, but should at least be farmed in a more traditional way rather than rare camping and hoping for RNG being good.
