GLast night I went through the portal in Org and found the arena.
I’ve tried googling it, but found various names, such as Brawlgar, Org arena and Ring of Valor.
The arena I went into had a MoP loading screen.
I’m just after any information regarding this. I was told it’s to do with a brawlers guild, but my google told me this was legion and not mop.
Was just wondering what I can do here, or is this in fact the legion one I need an invite for and the mop version was removed and replaced. Is it PvP, or PvE?
Any help would be appreciated, or any links to guides etc.
So the brawlers guild is something that was introduced in MoP, and it has come back for each expansion at some point. The thing is though, it hasn’t come back for BfA yet, so it’s not open as of right now. It will in 8.1 at the earliest.
So you’re actually right and wrong, since it’s a MoP, WoD and a legion thing. And it will soon come for BfA too.
As for the actual brawlers guild and what happens down there, basically there’s a bunch of npc’s from which you can queue into a match. Once the match begins, you get teleported down there and fight a foe of your strength and climb the ladder by defeating them. Once you defeat the final boss you get an achievement and you can buy a mount that seems to be changing every couple of seasons or so. The brawlers guild will typically remain active until the end of the expansion, and goes away when the next one comes in.
The bosses are usually the same as they were in MoP with differences in how many there are/in which order they come. I wouldn’t do research on the bosses until you know the order and which ones you’ll fight in the first place. You will also need to be max level in order to participate, and often the bosses in the later ranks especially are difficult when the whole thing comes out, so don’t expect it to be too easy. A lot of the bosses have one-shot mechanics that punish you for your mistakes. It definitely is a fun challenge.
Anyways, yeah, it’s a PvE thing, and you’ll see more once it actually comes out. Keep an eye out for patch notes since they’re probably going to include it in there if it’s coming out at a certain point.

So it seems the first rule of the brawler’s guild is that there won’t be a friendly NPC with a yellow exclamation mark who talks to us about it.
