Lmao. The art team apparently doesn’t really want to bother with Warlocks:

Art team, or music team also stole basically a song they use in emerald dream. Slowed down a bit, thats it, ZM also had one similar to West World opening theme smh
I think that’s a general trend in Dragonflight that the WoW team have resorted to ways of getting the product out there quickly without investing resources into it beyond the minimum.
Great place to ask this question seeing as so many recycle years old hyperbolic tropes like they’re a cutting edge comedy genius
Ridiculous complaint. How many mathematical possibilities for design of gloves does exist? A few… that’s about it.
i blame jaina ever since we saw her claw glove they been copying her i mean i get it the whole flying ship was cool and the glove look pretty cool but you don’t have to repate your “masterpiece”
That’s about the dumbest sentence written on this forum in a long time.
Have you never seen people wear gloves in the winter? Are they all wearing the same-looking ones?
Yes i did.
Pretty much yes. Same shape, and few color/ material variations. That’s about it, when it comes to gloves.
Not sure who is dumb one.
gloves designs - Google Search
Scroll through that for 10 seconds and repeat this again:
Plus, that’s real-life. In Warcraft Blizzard have the creative freedom to do all kinds of crazy stuff. Gloves made of molten lave? Sure! Gloves made of a swarming beehive? Sure! Gloves made of pure ice? Sure!
Mathematical possibilities… The Blizzard artists are just taking the easy re-color route to save time. It’s not because they’ve exhausted every glove design that’s “mathematically possible”.
I’m guessing this is the latest attention seeking episode you are going through.
I can see you writing - don’t bother. There’s no salvaging this one. Juts take the L and move on.
Did you really google “gloves design” ?
It’s a glove, it’s shaped to fit hand, holy turd.
As for fantasy aspect, there are hundreds of designs in game already, so yeah good luck designing glove which will not to resemble some existing one.
Yes. It’s called empirical evidence.
When someone says only a few designs are mathematically possible, simply showing the opposite to be true is the easiest way of refuting the falsehood.
And yet, so many different creative designs exist for how it can fit the hand. Not only “a few mathematical possibilities”.
I gave 3 examples above that Blizzard have not done, and I’m not a creative artist.
This is not the hill you want to die on, trust me.
I intensely dislike the art direction from the landscape/zone teams.
There was a couple of good looking things in Dragonflight, most notably Azure Span and Valdrakken, but overall it was pretty mid.
The 10.1 zone looked really bad and forgettable. 10.2 looks better but it completely fails to deliver on The Emerald Dream that I have been sold in the past.
The problem in both cases is a refusal to use darkness and strong colours.
It’s really frustrating.
I assume it’s because they want to make sure the game is readable, but the colours of the environment are not the problem anyway. The problem is the spell effects themselves and, in particular, the amount of them.
By same logic you can say the same about any piece of gear - robe, helm, weapon… lol
Well, to put it into perspective…
The Players: “WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! WHY IS THE PATCH CYCLE SO LONG AGAIN? RELEASE CONTENT QUICKER!”
The Players: “WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! WHY IS THE PATCH CONTENT SO LOW EFFORT AGAIN? HOW DARE YOU BLIZZARD?!?!?”
Blizzard as a whole:

It doesn’t have to be one or the other. It’s simply a question of staffing appropriately.
If Blizzard struggles to allocate the developer resources to make new art designs for Warlock gloves, then hire an extra artist who’s primary job function is to design gloves.
That’s the solution.
The only reason why it doesn’t happen is because the new artist has to be paid a salary, and despite earning billions of dollars in profit every year, then Activision Blizzard can’t seem to find the money to staff their development teams appropriately, because they don’t see enough return on investment from hiring more than the absolute minimum number of developers they can get away with.
It’s company greed, it’s not the players being unreasonable.
They are already doing such things for Cinematics. What do you think who makes currently all the Classic Expansion trailers? Hurricane and his team. They are being paid by Blizzard to make trailers based on their requirements.
And I am fully aware that for the sub prices we pay, we should get more quality stuff.
Your post is stupid and you should feel bad.
But here we go:
The amount of Mount recolours, the amount of recycling models in general…
want more?
Do them for gloves then as well.
What’s your point?
You implied there was no way of solving this player demand for both quality and quantity, but there obviously is. Hire more people where needed.
Blizzard chooses not to. That’s on them.
