The Bad luck Protection Embers are fake and not real

Hello everyone,
I wanna prove you how Badluck Protection Embers are unreal and fake and Blizzard trying to deceive.
I have over 40x of Ember orbs which gives u drop chance and almost 14 weeks reclearing all bosses and still doesnt have even this legendry but I killed fyrrak for second time on my dk and got it. There are so many players who has the same xp and tons of players who got it on first 3 kills. I think Blizzard have to change game dsigners, I swear this is not funny for players to try like 14weeks and still nothing. We are not happy anymore even if we got the legy, because season is going to finish soon.
I am really sorry for this game because it has really bad designers. when someone killed this boss like 14time. you have to make a shop in game for lego and when they couldnt drop it after 10000 time. It’s not funny and makes players nervous.

I agree that it’s not fun to kill the boss this many times and not get the legendary, but it’s not “proof” that the BLP is fake. As long as the chance is between 1% and 99%, it can either drop or not drop, regardless if it’s 5% or 70%.

And this is the problem that I’ve been talking about with people wanting instant gratification of every single turn that they do.

To be perfectly honest, we need to move away from the systems that we have right now, which is catering to the lazy individual who does not want to put any effort into achieving good gear or putting in time and effort to unlock something that then goes ahead and provide him a quest chain which takes weeks or months to complete.

I understand OP’s frustration but their proposed solution is just as stupid as the complete RNG it is now. It may not be unwillingness to put in time and effort, and instead for most people it’s likely to just be frustration from the fact that time and effort are irrelevant. Instead, luck is at the forefront.

My GM currently still doesn’t have the legendary on his BDK despite being 9/9M and having killed HC Fyrakk every week. Did he not put in enough time and effort compared to a rando who got it week 2 in a pug?

Items like this should simply not rely on RNG and instead have deterministic acquisition, where the player can just put in the time and effort knowing exactly, or at least approximately when they will be getting their legendary if they keep playing. I wouldn’t go as far as “months to complete” since that’s pretty much an entire tier, but if it does take a long time, then the legendary needs to carry over into following seasons as well instead of getting replaced by the first heroic weapon from the next raid.

You are right, I think what I should have said was that they need to remove being able to obtain this type of weaponry from a boss drop. And then to say, oh, you didn’t get it, here’s an item that will increase your chance next time. It’s very insulting to a lot of people.

And I do agree that if you do get a legendary in an existing expansion. That legendary item should be with you throughout the entire content that is made available. You shouldn’t be farming for a legendary in one season and then when the next season comes out that item is then useless. That is bad decision-making on part of Blizzard.

It’s just right now, Legendries aren’t legendary. They don’t have the same appeal to them like they used to. This is just a better epic item that took you a little bit longer to get. Blizzard needs to return to what a legendary item is meant to be. It’s meant to be an item that was gained through doing something difficult, through something challenging. Killing an end boss in a very easy raid, three times a week in my book is not challenging whatsoever.

You can’t. Because RNG is RNG.

i mean you also have to do the quests, and get the stuff.

aside from having to roll on it with multiple people, please tell me how Sulfaras was hard to get? what it’s drop rate? whooptidoo, you had to sit through a slogfest every week and maybe never get it. What about [ Thori’dal, the Stars’ Fury, again just drop rate. Sure the raid was hard, ok ok, i get it, but like only due to the period it was in.

then they changed it to a quest, a guaranteed legendary ,but alot of work had to be put in. The community’s response was “Well then from now on you have to have a maxed out legendary to be relevant” and that’s kind of a mentality that seems to have stuck with some people.

it’s a nice axe, if you get it, good…if not, live your life, don’t get hung up over it…it’s a piece of loot. Stop making it manditory for yourself, and for others.

ps. yes I know i am posting from a demonhunter, but i main a DK in my guild’s raids, i am one of the few people who doens’t have orange stick yet, granted I’ve not tried much.

sorry for the edit, but this just rubbed me a bit.

This is an attitude that ruins it not the leggy. somehow you got it in your head you -have- to have it, as if it is a right for everyone to have it, if they want it so…no it’s rng, it’s loot, it’s how the game works.

why the lack of transparency from bliz though?

game companies need to be careful with systems like this, as it opens them to “obtaining money by deception” criminal charges in the uk.

It’s almost as if RNG is somehow Random. There doesn’t seem to be a pre-determined outcome to this RNG drop chance for some stange reason.
Perhaps I’m overthinking this again.

Not sure how you connected the dots between a drop chance of an item in a video game and fraud laws, but in essence I agree in essence. There should at least be some idea of by how much each ember increases the drop chance.

While this system is not transparent in a way of how exactly it works, it can and should be considered placebo and fake. Because currently it feels like “yeah yeah yeah it’s TOTALLY working as intended, but I will not explain or show you how because just trust me dude”.

It’s the biggest casino of the season. And the house will never show how it works from the inside. Just go to the raid and play.

It’s not mandatory, but neither is playing the game in the first place. The axe is the most powerful STR 2 hander by a mile, so obviously people who play to max out their gear or do high end content are going to strive to get it. It just feels awful when a CE raider who also pushes keys doesn’t loot it in 3-4 months, but a casual andy loots it week 2 only to do one weekly key for the rest of the season.

If a legendary is put into game and is this much more powerful compared to other weapons, it needs to be obtainable by deterministic means. Otherwise it just feels unfair and awful to anyone who actively plays the game but isn’t lucky enough to get it in a reasonable amount of time.

You are delusional.

What skill is there in RNG? NONE.

You could be a casual that plays 1 day a year and still get it. While a Mythic raider that sweted all the way to Fyrakk Mythic, or a high key pusher… well tough luck.

All your argument is baseless.

If on the other hand you had a guaranteed drop, BUT, you had to kill Mythic Fyrak or reach 3600 rio… THAT is a measure of skill.

I’ve said it on a few threads, but I’ll say again, gear needs badges as a form of determinism.
A boss should drop either

  1. An item
  2. A badge

In such quantities that every person involved in the kill gets either an item, or a badge.

The badges can be redeemed from a vendor for any item that drops from the raid, including the legendary, all that Blizzard needs to do then, is set the price of each item.

We need to move away from this RNG. Have each boss drop next to item a personal currency and with vendor we can buy / upgrade the item we want… This old system is making more problems than solution. We barely can find free time not alone invest into it only to face defeat coz of bad RNG …Lets unify and ask for better transparent system. Game is amazing but who ever plans this loot system should be replaced … The only reason ppl quit investing time , money and energy into this game …

  1. People would complain about the numbers, especially that higher difficulties don’t feel rewarding enough compared to eg LFR.

  2. So they can change the drop chances behind the scenes without anyone noticing when they realize they messed up bigtime.

Frankly I was surprised to see the blue post on this. I was expecting them to do a stealth buff and sweep it under the rug.

Don’t think he or others like him complain about wanting the leggo now.

It’s more the disparity and total mockery of it being called a leggo. Due to the fact a scrub can run into lfr and get the axe on first kill (yes, extremely low chance). Seeing a lot of peeps who ding curve and get handed the axe on their first hc kill also tends to hurt those that have ground out 10+ hc end boss kills…

Nothing about lazy… which you seem to label others with frequently…

His solution is suck but could also be a “english not his first language” issue, given how he wrote it.

You know gambling is (in theory) quite heavily regulated in the uk right?

Gambling is regulated across most of Europe, however most countries have also ruled that RNG in a video game does not constitute gambling unless there’s a direct monetary purchase (e.g buying a loot box)

Are you sure?
