Dear Blizzard, you have managed to design a quest that is so vulnerable to griefers, it beggars belief.
Every single time I try to complete this quest, along comes another player. They either run past, or just stand there and “interfere”. And then out pops The Cleaner and 1 shots me (before they do anything to the interfering player). Failing the quest and despawning the quest giver for an amount of time (apparently 2 hours but i’m not sure)
Please can you fix your cleaner, to target the griefers and not myself. Or lock off the area so people cannot interfere.
I farmed MC for getting onto 4 months for this stupid item, and now i’m completely stuck, because people are horrible.
It’s about 20mins re-spawn
I did it recently and yeah it can be a pain in the butt. Took me about 6/7 attempts I think
I’m not sure if there’s herbs close by, but even at 3 in the morning when I tried it there was the occasional person running past, a random priest that all ready had the staff just shows up and hangs about for 1 minute.
Seems a weirdly popular area.
There was opposite faction members there when I first tried it and it wiped me 3 times because of them, I wasn’t sure if it was intentional or by accident, but it seems just moving around when the event in on causes the cleaner to show up.
It’s not well designed, and if you fail it you get pvp flagged too for some reason, that must be great for some griefers too.
If your able maybe try at the quietest time for your server and hope someone doesn’t run past on their donkey and ruins it.
Threatplates addon helped if you dont have something similar, the mobs health bars are a pain too see
