I can’t launch the game into anniversary realms, from the battle net launcher i have tried to log in to the anniversary realms now multiple times, i have switched to classic era and hardcore realms and season of discovery realms without issue, but when i try to launch into anniversary realms or hardcore anniversary realms it launches into whatever realm i launched into previously.
(I do not play on the hardcore realms, i just tried for testing) so after i launched into classic era realms the battle.net launcher launched me into classic era despite me choosing anniversary realms, the same happened after i switched to season of discovery and classic hardcore realms.
I am at a loss here.

did u manage to find a soultion as its happening to me
A friend of mine pointed out that when you get to character selection you can change realm there too, and that worked for me, no matter how much the launcher refused.
I could select seasonal, anniversary, classic, russian and hardcore, and from there select the specific realm i had characters on, like thunderstrike.
