The best ever city for Night elves

Night elf lore has plenty of material for an incredible city. I pu t this in the other topic, but it sould be here.

Expanding on this concerpt - it is clear there are plenty of uses for buildings based on the various night elven groups to fill the city.

I am hoping they get extra numbers from groups like the Farondis being restored, some sort of restoration fromt he shadowlands dead even if it is as new allied race, and maybe we got Eluenrestoring some of the priestess in the Cathedral of Eternal night, some naga returing, some satyr too. etc

Arcane Users:

Highborne section and mage academy. Apart from the lavish residents of these elves, you will also have buildings for the following:

Every avenue of magic the highborne study and investigate:

    1. Magical wonders
    1. Magical constructs
    1. Magical creations
    1. Moonguard training grounds and building for magical combat with it’s set and functions for combat training in :
      a) arcane combat
      b) elemental arcane - i.e. frost, fire, then earth, wind (these were lost till the Moonguard rejoined and Darnassians returned ot magic)
      c) arcane triage ( another lost art)
      d) star and moon magic
    1. Arcane with the void - priestess of the moon and void elves are often seen here
    1. Astromancy
    1. Nature and arcane these buildings would border the Moongrove

Druids:

Druids aren’t based in the city off course, out in nature around, but they are a few, in the groves and parks, maintaining. they do play a part in theh defense and adminstration of the nation and several groves are dominated by different druid groups

  • Druids of the talon - have a grove
  • Druids of the claw
  • Druids of the branch
  • Druids of the wild
  • Druids of the Moon
  • Valewalker order - borders the Highborne sector
  • Dreamwardens HQ
  • Cenarion CIrcle HQ
  1. Dreamgrove - this is where the portal to the Emerald dream is
  2. Ardengrove - this is where the connection to the Ardenweald lies
  3. Moongrove - a new concept that looks amazing

The Order of Elune:

Priestesses, Wardens, Sentinels, Blackmoon Sect

Kaldorei weaponry and Armoury Section
This section of the city is where a lot of the stuff is made, it borders the craftsman section in the centre, at easy reach from the various Order’s that actually deal with making or groowing these

  • Here they build Glaive throws
  • Ancient of Wars
  • Arcane constructs
  • in one of the groves you can see the process of how Ancients take root and are also restored from their acrons, transferring all the knowledge the ancient that rpoduced it has. This is one of several way sthe night elves have hid and preserved ALL thier knowledge from their origin,

This knowledge never went with the Sunstriders, and since the northern kaldorei were not rebuilding cities or using arcane magic during the long vigil, none of this knowledge was used, however now, they are using it.

tis i not the only method, different groups have thier own methodes. the shen’dralar stored the wealth of thier information magically in crystals - as knoweldge was their most prized possession. off course, they loved having first edition hard copies, like any collector would, but many of these were lost when their city was destroyed. not the knowledge though, they have these in crystals and memory lattices - no elf that passes loses his knoweldge.

The Moonguard recovered their most prized artifacts and tomes when their stronghold as invaded by the Nightborne. Wed o a quest for this. However as a combat unit, most of the knoweldge for combat is actually in the instructors themselves, and the most powerful leaders and instructors of the Moonguard actually survived. furthermore, when they rejoined the Daranssians, they found some of their old coleagues and leaders that had stayed with the Darnassians, most had become druids, but some had returend tot he arcane with the Shen’drlaar’s return.

The lakes:
Their new Star well is here - wehther it’s from the well of eternity or literally a fallen star, there should be a great quest about it that shows the event . If the city is on Hyjal, then no need for that, we just use the Well of Eternity itself.

The city roads are literally are a map of the ley linee currents underneath (if a tree, it’s the ley line energy flow through the magical ree that reaches the top, it’s designed to feed of that

You can’t conceive equality can you - or even a shift of perspective where corporation, mutual dependency for the race survivors and outstrips faction allegiance either.

Also even if the story put those void and high elves in prime position in their ancestral home and the blood elves secondary, it will only be for a season to boos the alliance, they put the alliance races like night elves through much worse.

Night elves already have a city, it’s Suramar, those who like cities should be allowed to go there. Blizzard shouldn’t bother wasting resources on more elven cities, they have a perfectly good one,

What they need is a great forest showing the forest elf side. Hopefully a redone Hyjal will be that… Nightborne who love forests can go to Val’sharah or hyjal, Night elves who love cities can join the nightborne in Suramar.

Let blizzard build new cities for races that don’t have one and can’t share with an existing one.

But then all the human sub-races also got a city, so maybe Mag’har, Night elves, Forsaken should all get one too. WEll up to them. Copy paste Orgrimar for the Mag’har, copy paste Suramar for the night elves, copy paste ICC for the Forsaken.

You mean Nightborne?

Sure as hell aint a nelf city, and hasnt been for 10k years.

Eh, I’d rather they remake Orgrimmar with more old traditional orc buildings like the ones in WoD or Vanilla, rather than the boring dark metal stuff they have now.

What’s ICC got to do with the Forsaken?

Just the biggest undead structure at the heart of the biggest undead civilization.

I’d love the playable undead to have powerful ZIggaruts and necropolis… maybe an ICe crown citadel redeisgn that has new models for these, places twhere they can land and @open up to be a part onof some massive Megapolis like Zul’drak that spans the entire zone, and then some of these units can take off.

Re-inforcing other undead strongholds like Lordaeron, and take ove r other places like Theramore etc, one also outside Orgrimmar or flying over Orgrimmar… don’t need an undead quarter, they have a floating nectopolis… that would be cool.

They were night elves, and the night elves we play mostly come from there too, it’s their original city if I remember the books right, just like Silvermoon technically is the original city of all Thalassians, they could give them separate cities or just move on from elves either lumping them in the cities they’ve already built for them and use it as new story development or not.

Anyway, I concluded that if the humans and their sub races all had a city, I think the elvs should all have one, in fact, every race really should get one. Which means they need to provide for

Mag’har Orcs (to build)
Forsaken - reclaim
Darkspear Trolls - (to build)
Night elves (to build)
Gnomes - reclaim
Worgen - reclaim
Pandas - etiher build or move into the Vale ones.

Officially.

Vulpera technically have a caravan moving city right?

The biggest Scourge structure and later, a hold for the Ebon Blade.

Forsaken have no relation to ICC whatsoever.

It’s undead you don’t need any more relation. And it’s very impressive, dominating - should be an epic chapter to maneouvre the Forsaken as the leaders of the undead scourge.

HAve no idea why they want to keep the undead or night elves samll, they’re faction wide large. So to are teh trolls, Draenei and Pandaren… They should blow them up. Big stake races.

Lordaeron and Hyjal are hardly small.

You can ask any Forsaken fan and they will tell you that Lordaeron is their stronghold and should be the race’s base of operations.

Sylvanas made the distinction between the Scourge and the Forsaken, when she claimed the Capital City.

Every race only needs 1 capital city. For the Forsaken, that’s Lordaeron.
Night Elves are already having their main base be something that has been central to them for 10,000 years. Forsaken shouldn’t be treated any differently and this is where them returning to Lordaeron makes sense.

We could absolutely have Forsaken be the leaders of the Scourge and the Cult of the Damned joins the Horde and is ruled by the Forsaken…but it’s all from Lordaeron and it’s Capital City.

If humans and orcs have 5-6 around the world, I don’t see why Forsaken can’t have more. The assets are there, just write the epic story. Same for Night elves, same for Panda and Trolls, They don’t have to be confined to tiny portions forever. It’s a massive world and the vision for the scourge and the night elves was original huge.

And why stop with them? Why not add the Trolls and the Thalassians too when there is a massive world. Then maybe eventually the Draenei and the Dwarves? Presumably the player groups are the most powerful of all. I would like tos ee each of the core races now taking full charge and expanding.

An epic vision

Which they don’t

Stormwind and Orgrimmar will remain the face of the Humans and Orcs.
Strongholds are not capital cities.

And Blizzard should put all the time into those strongholds (because that is all they are) and put it towards the core hearts of the races. So in the instance of the Forsaken and Night Elves, the time they invest into them should go towards Lordaeron and Hyjal and make them as grand and as epic as ever. If ICC gets a look into, fine…but I’m not holding my breathe on that front, since it doesn’t have anything to do with the Forsaken. The undead who broke away from Arthas and were created by Sylvanas.

Strongholds grow into cities as long as they stand… surely you know this? This is how Stormwind started, Stromgarde too (which is another human city), Boralus, Gilneas, Dalaran.

Do you want me to list the Orc stronghold around Azeroth, the cities in Outland and Draenor built during WoD?

Shall I list the number of towns and cities in Europe that started from a Stronghold or Castle?

Doesn’t make any difference.

Stormwind and Orgrimmar are the faces of the Humans and the Orcs.

Lordaeron is the face of the Forsaken.

Gilneas is the face of the Worgen.

Hyjal is the now the face of the Night Elves.

Quel’Thalas is the face of the Blood Elves.

That’s the way it goes, petal. Probably barring the night elf fanbase, who all seem to want a cake, eat the cake, plus have custard and sticky toffee pudding as well, every other fanbase of those listed care about the race’s original city. Blizzard efforts should be going to make those core cities the absolute best for the fanbases. Not half-bothered efforts into nonsense like ICC for the Forsaken and Netherstorm for the Blood Elves.

WoW fanbases are very ungrateful if Blizzard tries to do things that don’t relate. Putting effort into ICC over Lordaeron would only serve to piss off the Forsaken fanbase. Yes, I would outright, be so ungrateful if Blizzard put more effort into some random stuff in Netherstorm for the Blood Elves and didn’t update Quel’Thalas.

So let’s forget everything else because you say so and ignore the rest.

I say the forsaken should dominate the undead and pick up a faction mantle, you say humans only have Stormwind, and orcs only Orgrimmar, because that’s all there is to humans and orcs in warcraft

I say the playable factions should dominate the narrative for their various races, be the best and most powerful example (to varying degrees of success the story can tell the narrative of the ebbing and flowing that power struggles have accompanied by the inevitable rising and falling.

What you want is not something Blizzard can do in the narrative and do it where we’re all happy. Going that big is almost certain to be a failure.

This is why they should stick to Lordaeron for the Forsaken and Hyjal for the Night Elves and put 110% effort in them, rather than trying to go huge and failing at it, big time. Their isn’t one time when Blizzard have gone “huge” in the narrative and it’s been a success.

Rubbish… anything can be good if you do it well and it would be popular. but if you expect everyone to be happy, then you’re just silly, that never happens… You can’t control how people.

You just ned to do your best. People want to feel excited about their they love. while some are happy with a small corner, some are not, if you like a small corner for the forsaken, well, you’d likely still ahv that when they’re big.

But i call b/s … i think you’d like anytthing they do if they do it well.

I would love anything, if done well. But blizzard can’t do it well and blizzard needs to start listening to the fanbases of each race.

Night Elves are going back to Kalimdor, setting up their base on Hyjal. That’s good. Night Elf fans were calling for the race to go back to Kalimdor.
Forsaken fans need to be listened to and placed back in Lordaeron. Push the Alliance out of Silverpine and any holdings of Tirisfal.

Then we have Blood Elves and Draenei, who need their lands to be fully updated, so they reflect the current times.

The core races and their zones need updating before the allied races. The allied races have no starter zone, so this takes more time and if they are planning something so the allied races do have a starter zone, well - I think Blood Elves, Draenei, Forsaken and Night Elves need their update first.

Modern Kaldorei, have named themselves the Kaldorei Resistance, and they went against everything, that was accepted back in the Kaldorei Empire.

That being said, modern Kaldorei Resistance, has nothing to do with Highborne/Lowborne social rankings, as the modern Kaldorei Resistance embraced the path of Druidism and the Priesthood.

Stop trying to take credits for all the Kaldorei, not all Kaldorei are in the part of the Kaldorei Resistance.

The Moonguard magi, have joined the Nightfallen Resistance, last time we met them, so we can say, Moonguard is part of Suramar Kingdom now.

Darnassus, was built by the Lowborn commoners, not by the Highborne.

AKA the last of the Highborne, the only and the true ones, who stayed loyal to the traditions, and the rules of the Empire.

The city was built by the Highborne, and it is inhabited by the Highborne, unlike your lowborn kin, who preferred to hide in the woods, and grew savage, savage as trolls lurking in your forests.

Stop putting/using the Nigjhtborne, in every excuse you have, your kin is not a Highborne.

In their opinion, if something is Nightelven, it means, it belongs to the Kaldorei Resistance. The Night elves whine, and seek attention as if it should be given only to them, which will never end. Moreover, for some reason, they always mention Nightborne I have no clue why? Perhaps, they are so angry about what has happened 10, 000 years ago?

The Kingdom of Suramar, was and will remain as the jewel of the Highborne Empire. Long live Shal’dorei!

Ru shanna Shal’dorei!
Quel’vala thonos!

Maybe Gallywix can build something for Night elves, they could work their debt off as they live for thousands of years so his investment is retuturned with atleast 100% interest as is common when you do business with your Goblin Mogul.

Just build something on Hyjal and be done with it.

Seemingly, Blizzard aren’t giving Eldre’Thalas to them, since the only night elf remnant those ruins have are that of wailing ghosts and banshees.
