Current raid participation above lfr is less than 10% of all active players. Which is lowest it has ever been. And yes its becouse of LFR. High participation =/= playera having fun. If your playerbade settle for path of least resistance but that content is boring which LFR is than those people quit did you reall think was worth to boost raid participation by LFR? I am pretty sure its better to have less raid participation and have fun with the game. Than creating mos what will inflate your raid numbers but make all those players bored.
raid participation is low because the game is current NOT FUN TO PLAY, it has nothing to do with LFR and everything to do with bad design choices
if the game was fun, didnt have so many nonsense systems, didnt discourage alts, didnt feel like a 2nd job and didnt exclude and hold people back at every turn participation would be UP across the board for every. single. activity.
Some people just like to play on their own there is nothing wrong with that
and yes for them it is worth to pay sub
cause they do what they want
LFR ? pet battles? lvlin alts doing profesions? collecting mounts? and many more
MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER ONLINE game doesn’t mean you need to be in group 24/7 when you log in
These days? i do not want to play with anyone
cause im sick and tired of people
I used to have passion for this game
and i was in team speak and discord all the time and i was active in guilds
and the that people i play with killed it for me with their attitudes
Yeah and Blizzard themselves have stated that a relatively small percentage of people ever did those raids (when they were current). So it just wasn’t cost-effective.
They added LFR mainly to get more people into that sort of content. To lower the bar of entry. To actually get more eyes on the content they made.
It might be a ‘staple’ of an MMORPG, but raids are very much ‘niche content’.
An MMORPG is played by many different people. Who all have very different ways of enjoying the game. For you the enjoyment might come from doing multiplayer content, but that’s just not true for everyone.
I see that kind of argument being made time and again, but an MMORPG does NOT mean you HAVE to play with others. It only means you SHARE A WORLD with many other players. How you interact with those players and what you do or do not do together is up to each individual player. Some like only certain aspects of an MMORPG, some like them all. It’s all fine.
you know what this reminds me ? good old times of mop lfr - when by the end of SoO in full mythid raid gear i was sometimes joining mogushan vault lfr and then doing 50% of overall raid dps
What i understand is if i play a game i wanna excell in it so i want to play the class with his full potentiall what i dont like to see it someone joining my m+ and doesnt have a clue how to play their class acordingly, thats pretty normal and tbh not every class or spec is rocket science. And that doesnt mean i am an elitist of something else.
Nope.
If there was no LFR I wouldn’t ‘magically’ start doing normal or heroic raids. No, I’d probably quit because then I can’t even follow/do/experience the main storyline of WoW.
