Lor’themar all the way. He’s been the best leader the Sin’dorei have had since the fall of Anasterian, and Quel’thalas is the stablest its been since before Arthas.
On a character note. Luci’s been very anti-Sylvanas since he returned from Outland, he respected and admired her when she commanded the Farstriders. She’s been dead for over a decade. She’s the Banshee Queen now, not even worthy of the Windrunner name.
As it stands, Rhaewon has no reason to doubt Sylvanas or Lor’themar. Lor’themar voices doubt whether elves will even support him and I think it’s a key thing in this divide.
How the facts will be presented to the wider audience.
As it stands, none of the actions taken by Sylvanas have been detrimental to Quel’thalas as a whole. I would go even to the extent that some of the actions, such as blighting Undercity were beneficial to QT. As it ensured that Horde won’t get a stronghold in northern Lordaeron, and thus didn’t create a direct battlefront on the doorstep of Blood Elven lands.
Infact, currently we as characters are constantly getting news of Sylvanas (perhaps through extreme measures) trying to end this war in an overwhelming victory, but for some reason the people who should be her advisors keep thwarting her plans.
One being the whole free will vs sleeper agent Derek issue. It’s extreme yes, and you can see where Baine is coming from. But at the same time, it would have saved thousands of Horde lives if successful.
For Lor’themar to stand down on Isle of Thunder was one thing, but to do it a second time in Nazjatar was way too much. The vengeance was at hand, and the Regent Lord himself decided to bow his head to the murderer of his own people, twice.
Sylvanas had a plan in motion, to use Derek and, if all goes well, end the entire Proudmoore bloodline. Thats good. Baine threw a wrench into that. Thats bad. At this moment, he is the main enemy.
When Innoma came to know that Hathorel was given an opportunity at making things right, Sylvanas was elevated in her eyes. Twice she tried to avenge what Lor’themar couldnt, while he had ample opportunities to do it. “Greater threats” like Thunder King and Naga be damned, a plan could be orchestrated where they could be used to Hordes advantage, (but writing etc).
The die is cast for this Warlock. We will see where it takes us.
While not necessarily a blood elf, Laurenn’s for sure going to support the one who’ll bring justice to these who were the cause of the Purge of Dalaran!
Ultimately, Rommath is Aethas’ boss and always has been. The Sunreavers are an extension of Silvermoon so I imagine, if there is a divide, it will likely very much be the Sunreavers over the general Silvermoon populace.
Though with that said, Aerilen will err on the side of Lor’themar for sure. He has no real reason to doubt him as a leader. Besides, anyone dabbling with the void or any of their aberrant lot is a danger.
It’s a no brainer for Brigante, he has always been Lor’themar and his Nation first, especially now as he is sickened by some of Sylvanas’ antics. Whatever Lor’themar decides, is what he will do.
Tessarin however is harder, She was a hardline Kael’thas supporter, a Sunfury who narrowly escaped execution, but was mentally ‘re-educated’. Now she has no desire to fall on the wrong side of history -again- however, she can understand where Sylvanas actions are coming from; She herself has been that ruthless, driven terror to her foes, and she understands that sometimes overwhelming force is the only way to cow a foe. She’ll probably wait and see which ‘side’ (Not that there really are sides as such just yet) gains most traction.
That is, unless the regent lord fails to live up to that, folding to threats and hesitatiton toward carrying out his duty to his people. This inherently puts some diplomatic options off the proverbial table. Vengeful sunreavers putting the nation at risk need culling regardless of the righteousness of their cause.
He’s already disillusioned and grown so weary of everything. The only faintest sense of loyalty in him remains toward Silvermoon and Lor’themar. He doesn’t care one bit for this war, even if his brothers and sisters are dying.
Kyandrial is loyal to the High Kingdom, and whatever goes along with that.
Should Lor’themar, and the rest of the Sin’dorei leaders, turn against Sylvanas then she will too. If it’s just Lor’themar and there’s conflict amongst the leadership, then I honestly don’t yet know which way she’ll go!
(Please Blizz, give us some conflict it would be so much more interesting!!!)
