The Broken Tusk inn

What happened with the people that kept on hanging out at the Broken Tusk inn, I was gone for two days or so and now they’re just gone. Been checking in there daily to find a familiar face but to no success.

There were things that happened which turned people off RPing in Orgrimmar and tainting them by association. I don’t agree with the decision but here we are.

That certain group of players are gone now, aren’t they? It would be nice if decent RP now returned to Orgrimmar.

I blame it in part on the gross stuff that infested Orgrimmar for a time, as well as Shadowlands fatigue in general.

Yes, but it will take a while for the ripples to settle and the rain to wash away the stains.

Well guess I am bringing the mf water elemental to Orgrimmar

Oh cool, I might start hanging out there again on some chars

Aside from the already mentioned shenanigans, it also happens that this week is the Kosh’arg annual festival in Nagrand, so a lot of Hordies are there as well.

“When you pray for the rain, you have to deal with the mud to.” - A quote from a vulperan mother of two.

Except she got it backwards 'cause we already had our share of mud in Org.

A lot of Horde RP has also moved towards Razor Hill, both Barrens and Mulgore.

I’m gonna be real here and say that Orgrimmar is boring as all hell to RP in because of the layout and its general dreariness (obnoxious colour palette aside). I really hope that roleplay stays out of the city because Kalimdor has plenty of great zones and spots to use for RP.

I can still stand to walk about Stormwind after all these years, even if the textures are showing their age, but Orgrimmar lost its soul after the Cata “revamp”.

This is just a suspicion of mine that I can’t confirm, but I imagine that Stormwind’s layout also is a bit more RPer friendly.

RPers know to avoid the trade district because it’s just not worth going through there and seeing people deathrolling or risking some clowns tagging along spamming stuff because they’re under the delusion that they’re funny, but the trade district is easy enough to avoid.

With Orgrimmar the entire front of the city might as well be that with people running around talking about their IRL days in front of the auction house while yet another dead body is added onto the conga line that only disappears after reset.

Orgrimmar has always been a very boring place to RP. The entire city is designed for either Orcs or Tauren and Trolls, and the latter two have much nicer places to RP. RP was confined to the Valley of Honour as Valley of Strength/Embassy area is full of OOCers and in general the city just doesn’t lend itself to RP with few buildings that aren’t barracks or vanilla and an auction house in every district meaning a lot of people spread out across the city.

The spark that lit the fire was the kit RP and ERP problems that started pervading the area due to a particular group who have now moved on. There’s still some RP there but generally now that a lot of guilds have evacuated the Horde is very spread out now. My guild has settled down in Ratchet but I know that there’s RP going on from Razor Hill to the Crossroads to Bloodhoof Village and all the way to Sunrock Retreat.

Luv Orgrimmar.

'Ate Orgrimmarrers.

Simple as.

The big faction capitals need another beauty makeover, Orgrimmar especially. The assets already exist to an extent; see garrison buildings from WoD.
