It has been impossible to loot the chest (the Cache of the Legion) in the Mechanar (TBC dungeon) since the launch of Cataclysm. Before, a player had to obtain two parts of the key to be able to loot it. With the new expansion it should have been changed, so the chest would open automatically without the need of the key, straight after the boss kill. Unfortunately, since the start of Cataclysm, the chest and the valuable transmog items it contains are simply impossible to loot. The issue has already been described in May, 2024. Yet, there is no solution provided.

There were other forum threads about this that went on the months, and were eventually closed with no attention nor fix.
About a week ago I opened a ticket in game about this, and after going several rounds, I was told to submit a bug report in game, no doubt many others had already done this.
I’ve got a ticket response I’ve yet to read as I was very clear I had already done this.
Awful service, no doubt this would be easy to rectify. Pathetic in all honesty.

I’ve looked into this case and I could see that this bug has been for years. From my end I have no way to contact the devs, but the bug report in-game is the only way our players can contact directly to them. I also know that you did this process but we have to trust that the bug status is being updated accordingly on how it affect players.
I am not a developer and I have zero control over in-game code or mechanics, which is why I am not able to provide you an immediate solution for this, but I request your patience once more to address this case as a bug report again to let the devs know that the issue is still happening and they need to fix the bug for all the affected players. Finally, I also encourage you to submit this case on our forums where our community share their experiences and their feelings about this situation for a better resolution from their end.
I thank you for your understanding in this kind of bug cases where our devs needs to address the problem accurately.
