How am I supposed to deal with it? DHT +23. Talking about the bleed placed by the kitties in the first few pulls of the dungeon with the white icon that stays until the target is healed to full. Usually on the first pull we lust and everything is fine, but afterwards?
I’m a disc priest with 484 ilv, and I can’t outheal a single of the bleeds even if I put Pain Sup on the target, and spamheal ONLY them with Flash Heal and Penance and ignore the rest of the party. It simply isn’t enough throughput to remove a single dot. Am I missing something? Don’t tell me I need to pop PI just to outheal a single bleed.
When that pull goes on for too long you for sure get in trouble. It is obviously fine to pull big and bloodlust, but the cats need to die fast and the screechers need to be interrupted. When you get in trouble because you are through your stuff it is also on the rest of the group to immediately take a healthpotion when they get the bleed. There are limits about what you can do. (i am not a disc so i am not sure what you can do outside of rapture at the start and later aoe atonement and blast your biggest dps).
When you ascendance i am pretty sure you do not need crits, and you heal mulitple players. Cats jump every… 17 or 18 seconds, which means you can place a cloudburst totem a couple seconds after the first jumps and it will heal, feed by your ascendance, during the 2nd jumps.
I don’t know the details about disc, but i think you can at least start with rapture and get through the first jumps that way. On the 2nd people can defensive or use a healthpotion while you do radiance and blast your dps (penance, etc). Hopefully you got some dead cats as fast as possible.
Also… we healers do not like it, but some deaths at the start of DHT is fine. Just release and you are back in the pull. Getting through the first jump(s) are the most important since that is the bloodlust and cooldowns time.
A) You can depend on HS crits because you have a guaranteed crit. I have ~40% crit + 30% from Tidal Waves makes it an almost 70% of critting. Which is a lot.
B) What really makes the 600k values is Ondulation. And that is 1/3 HS. So you can time it. 2 ondulations and 1 riptide to keep the guy from dying, and that 1 crit to finish him off and top him up to 100%. And if it does not crit, then add a riptide and your done. Also, mastery. The lower the health the bigger the heal, so that crit will totally smash.
C) Riptide heals trucks. And you have 3 of them at the begginning of combat which can be cast back to back. For example: The bleed of the 1st boss of DHT is healed intant with 1 riptide 100% of the time. It trivializes it.
D) In the first 3 packs of DHT with multiple cats, I usually cycle my CDs as Mistjo suggested. And yes, your CB get really big with massive chain heals (with BL and prepot) and HSs. And Ascendance and AG what they do is keep the other 2 people with the bleed alive with cleave heals while you finish off 1 bleed at a time.
E) If DDs are not poping deff CDs when they get bleeds its totally al L2P issue from their side. Which simplifies life even more for me.
At that key level it isn’t just a healer mechanic. People targeted by it should be helping you by using defensives and any self healing they can add. Plus other group heals from tanks/dps
