Dude xD kids today legit play horror games, and FPS games that’s bloody etc, not to mention GTA, so many people in the US playing that game, this is just stupid xD
You write more than gamers want to read, respect but damn, calm down xD
I know right
One of my co-workers had brought their ~9 year old daughter to work and the girl was requesting from us to show her youtube videos from movies and games with plenty of violence and when I asked the little one if she was really not bothered by movies with shoting and slashing etc, the little girl replied " I know how to discern between reality and fiction". What an absolute legend, me and the other coworkers were stunned.
Meh, you seem to think I am not entirely placid and serene right now, got my beers in (Its a weekend, thats allowed) and my smokes, got some good food cooking, life is good.
As for more than gamers want to read, then that is frankly a ‘them’ problem, not a ‘me’ problem, I ain’t their school teacher.
Well you’re typing as if you think you are
I can understand your point but I feel statues should remain an art form that doesn’t need to disappear. Sure you can decide upon the placement of it, doesn’t necessarily have to be in some outside public space but can be placed in a museum or some art expo for people to look at.
A statue is much more interesting than some random photograph in my opinion.
It is highly likely it was deliberate, but I would still not demonize somebody over something like that if I have no certainty of my claim even if Trump is controversial person in general. It’s easy to fall in the trap of somebody having done bad things in the past must mean everything he does next is deliberate and bad.
Personally most historical happenings are unknown to me, I could be walking down some street where something happened 100+ years ago and unknowingly do some act that would be regarded as offensive.
Even if it was towards just his fellow English citizens or Bristol specifically, he still remains a philantrophist. You can’t deny one good thing because he did bad things. That would be the same as saying Obama wasn’t a good President for the US because he was involved in killing civilians in several countries in the Middle-east. The acts don’t cancel each other out but rather becomes part of a weight scale of good/bad acts one has done.
Depending on your ideologies you will decide what acts carry more weight and base your opinion on that person whether he’s good or bad.
This plays into my previous statement where I excalimed that historians don’t always agree with each other, so you have multiple accounts stating something different. I wouldn’t necessarily call it propaganda but rather a lack of critical information that would come to light later on. The concept of Pyramid builders not being slaves has only come to light like 10 years ago?
The problem is that even us posters have different views on what should be happening, so in any case it would be difficult to come to a consensus what we should do carrying on from today.
Personally I don’t like any form of censorship, like games about historical wars where Axis-symbols or even the name of groups are changed to some fictional fairtytale thing. It’s basically a way of downplaying what happened. Not to mention that almost everybody knows who they’re referring to… it just cheapens the experience.
That’s actually clever. I was wondering about 2 months ago when I got a 1 day ban on the forums because I used a naughty word (spelled diffrently, it wasen’t even a bad word) the double standards we are presented with. The word Garrosh used for Sylvanas was way worse. I’m not as naughty as Garrosh or so I thought.
