The "Chromatic Calibration: Holo-Gogs" achievement needs to become for all your chars

As of posting this, this is by far one of the hardest to farm out achievements in the entire game.

To give a short summary:

- It requires multiple hours + hundreds of thousands of gold to buy the recipies, or:
- It requires tens if not hundreds of hours to manually farm the recipies if you are not rich

Whoever is doing this achievement, is obviously a fan of these appearances, however, we are getting completely denied by this being attached to your “Engineering only” characters.

In short, an account-wide cosmetic gated by profession requirement. And while you could say: Hey, just learn the profession lol - a lot of people actually use x2 gold-making professions that are not Engineering, so this is a heavy hit.

Solution: Make this achievement’s reward account-wide for all your characters regardless if they have engineering or not. As stated above, you’re literally going through most expansions, funneling thousands upon thousands of gold and many hours to get it, so it is insulting to the effort of the player doing it.

And this is not a personal opinion. There are many, many opinions such as this on the wowhead comment section of the people who have done this.

Please Blizzard, have some developer log in for literally 15 minutes to remove the Engineering requirement for alt characters on account after completing this.

Learning a recipe should be account wide.
Being able to use the recipe to craft something should depend on you having the skill trained to the correct level. But the recipe itself should just be learnt account wide. If your Leatherworker gets a Blacksmithing recipe, blueprint, pattern or whatever they’re called they should be able to just learn it even though they can’t make the item as they’re a leatherworker, not a blacksmith.

This is game breaking or madness, it’s just a nice QoL improvement.

It’s not about the recipe.

The goal of this achievement is for you to make like 50 different types of goggles to receive a cosmetic that allows you to use any of the goggle transmogs.

The problem comes from being unable to use the cosmetic goggles on a non-engineering character afterwards.

So far I have only done 1/5 of the requirements, and have funneled over 150k gold into it via AH as well as a few hours going back and forth for trainers.

What would be fair is that once completed, all my chars can equip the cosmetic goggles regardless if they have engineering or not.

wow. i discovered just now this achie

It’s a good achievement to have, because you can transmog other armor type goggles once you get it - e.g you can wear a cloth goggle appearance as a leather because you did the achievement.

The “having engineering” requirement for alts needs to be removed though.
