It was working this morning, i had about a 3 minute wait on a disc priest.
It’s strange, you’d think more people would be on. I queued this morning and took almost 30 mins to get into a group.
Finished it just a moment ago, I was able to join the event after a 3 minute queue.
This morning it took me 1 hour and 10 minutes to get in as a dps.
43 min wait so no ty, really smart for a celebration of 20 yrs …

It was a mistake to require roles, we already have BRD as a serious raid, this is supposed to be a scenario so just accept 20 people regardless of roles.

Should’ve been a dungeon at best, but yes, scenario would’ve been fine. Sort of like the one in Gorgrond at the end where you have some crazy abilities to take on the Iron Horde. I think if the queues aren’t better, just join a group in the finder and queue that way. I did it only once today, and it didn’t seem too bad so hopefully this is a good tip: even if you only know basic tank/heal stuff, queue up as one. Will get this codex thingy done quicker.
Just got to ask Blizzard why this needed to be 20 ppl instead of solo or 3 ppl…

The issue isn’t the number of players but as always a lack of tanks and healers. it it was a role agnostic queue it would likely be very fast.
The weird thing is that the event simply doesn’t have the difficulty to warrant needing 2 tanks and 5 healers - IMO a 15 man DPS group would be just fine (as would a all tank group).
I don’t know if the lack of difficulty is a tuning bug - or the designers simply cut and paste the comp requirement from a template - but it creating a situation where we’re facing unnecessary waits for an event that IMO doesn’t really reward that wait.
And as an aside - what happened to the “recreation of the opening of the gates of Ahn’Qiraj” that was promised in Blizzards marketing for this event? But I guess that’s another story…

5 mins for me as a tank yesterday so yeah its probably the roles too
that said it will not fail your group formation if lets say 4 out of 5 healers click no, 1 healer is still enough to form the group and not make you reenter the queue
It took about 5 minutes to get in for me on Stormscale yesterday.
60 seconds as a healer.
Didn’t need to heal once.

Queues for chores (for want of a better word) tend to be quick on Wednesday and Saturday. Every other day is hit & miss.
I picked up the quest yesterday but saw the reward was for level 80s so I went back to Azj Kehet as I’m almost 77.
This thing is around for 10 weeks or something so I have time to level up to 80 and give it a bash. Even if I am away for xmas there is time.
30 minutes earlyish this morning for dps. I imagine tank/heal get in a lot more quickly.
This morning again 28 min but ah well I just sat with Cho for a while and did a fashion and mount show. The scenario took about 8 min so glad I got that out of the way…
I queued as elemental and it was 29 min wait…
Queued as resto and it was less than 30 seconds…
Didn’t change spec either and there was no need to
