The current state of Battlegrounds

Obviously, it’s down bad. My biggest issues being premades and what I’m going to assume a buggy que system.

Now, everyone has been talking about premades and if it should be allowed or not. Obviously playing the game with your friends shouldn’t be punishable. I think the limit of 5 people in a group is fantastic.
But if you just want to have a chill, laid back game as solo que because none of your friends play this game anymore, then it gets frustrating.
So, solution? Make solo queing players meet players who also solo que, and make grouped players meet grouped players. Pretty much every modern game has this functionality, because no matter the game, you’re obviously going to perform better as a team in voice chat than not.

Onto the second point, what do I mean with a buggy que system? Getting placed into BG’s where one team is 27 players and the other 38 players. I’m assuming that is not intended and a bug, because there just is no way it’s not.
What more do I mean with buggy que system? Getting placed into already losing BG’s over, and over, and over again. Last week I got to play 2 EBG’s from the start and probably up to 20 games that was lost within 2 minutes from when I joined. I simply stopped queing for EBG’s. I do understand the idea behind getting placed into games with less players, but it’s incredibly frustrating when you’re trying to get a bit of conquest for the week but you end up ONLY coming into games that lose within literal minutes of you joining, so in practice, this function is arguably more of a hassle than a feature.

The current state of the game really makes it feel like blizzard is focusing on the fact that you GET to play the game, not that you get the most enjoyable experience out of it. Tell you what, if it means I have to sit and wait for 5 more minutes to play with people equally geared (somewhat) and against equally sized groups (or solo against solo), then I’d be more than happy to wait those five minutes.

And about that equally geared thing. Why? Because if you’re on a team where you have healers who have 2 HP and their has like 24m HP, then you might as well just do /afk because there’s no way you’re winning that with how tanky healers are.

”Just go play blitz”. Okay, give me que times that pops within an hour and I’ll do that  .

Alliance have one premade group while hordes multiple.

Talking about epic bgs.

And this turn me off.

Sure the que times on alliance are shorter but every second game you are guaranteed to face horde premade. That is stupid.

For US servers I don’t know, but for EU, there are quite a few communities who run premades, and alot of streamers. DrexSunstrider who’s part leader of EPIC BATTLEGROUNDS, or the community MINT PREMADE who has a bunch of familiar faces like Sinfvl (5infvl on twitch).
It’s not hard to watch the stream and make out an about how long stream delay there is, and when the streamers group que’s up, so does everyone else watching the stream. That means that the streamer has a 40 man raid of literal slaves drooling over the publicity they get and therefore does EVERYTHING the streamer says in /rw or in the stream, which means they work together as a team no matter what.

As for factions, most just takes the mercenary buff or relog to an alt to switch faction depending on which side has lowest que times.

Are these groups actually popular? I see them advertised in most BGs, but there’s hardly ever more than 1 or 2 players of that group in that BG.

They run in one group mostly. Sometimes 2 or 3.

Drex is human paladin but play as mercenary most of the times.

I’d say so. Both have multiple groups often queing at the same time to get the same BG. If you’ve only seen 1 or 2 players from those communities in BG’s you’ve probably just caught them before they que up together.

Zädö being another one running these communities. Had the pleasure of meeting him just now, and guess what, the game before that was another one that was lost within 3 minutes

One of my biggest gripes recently is lag. Smaller fights are fine, but large group fights are unplayable for me now.

Opening fights are often the most important -so it irks me having 5 frames per minute. Disabling addons (as recommended) makes no difference. I only really use BGEnemies & Reporter anyway.

Sync-prems are annoying & more often than not result in a loss, but if I can’t even use my abilities due to lag, the game is literally unplayable.

waiter waiter! all games as horde I faced Wb, Ripley, Larcus and i really forgot who else. Same tar-ds over and over?! ? All of the games! ALL! Whats wrong with you premaders? Lack of fatherhood? Not enough kindness in your childhood? But it is not your fault! The real issue is from Blizzard haven’t come with solution after all these topics. Make solo for randoms .. finaly … please!

Play horde, you'll only win with premades, I prefer to continue as an alliance... I love smelling good.

One of the things battlegrounds desperately need is an iLevel requirement.

There are no excuses to not be honor geared.

I don’t think there should be an ilvl requirement. You shouldn’t be forced to farm crates and do WQ’s just in order to play bg’s.

I do however stand by the fact that if you que BG’s as solo, you should meet other solo q’ers. Preferably also meeting people with similar gear so even though you might be gearing an alt, or if you’re a new player trying to learn the game, it’ll still be a balanced match.

Again, I’d more than willingly wait 5 more minutes to find a match in order to not have to deal with this BS. And I do think that can encourage players to come back to pvp, and bam, q’s are back to normal and it was as if nothing happened, except everyone is now enjoying the game, and not just people running communities.

i think theres not enough players for that and also there is some kind of system in the game already. if you queue as group youure more likely to meet another group.

I mean, I que solo all the time and I can sure as heck there’s no system that makes solo players meet solo players exclusively.
Also, the only reason there isn’t alot of players now is because people have to put up with this BS. People already not having as much freetime as they used to due to work and stuff, alot of people tend to simply not play the game because all they meet are premade sweats.

Nobody plays PVP in the EU, you just have to see that you always find the same retards doing sync, even several groups get together because there is no one playing random, WoW in PVP is absolutely dead.

.. I mean.. That’s kinda why I made this thread, no?

if you can’t beat them, join them!

Imagine, the only way to play the game is through communities that doesn’t advertise themselves or through streamers.
