The Darkmoon Faire is up! Should people RP there?

This is a good chance for characters that are interested to come to the Darkmoon Faire with the cross-faction elixir and do some cross faction fun!
Although the war might make it a bit/lot harder, I’ve always wanted to see more IC activity in the Darkmoon Faire.
What do people think of roleplaying there?

Absolutely! The place offer a unique kind of RP that is not often, if ever seen elsewhere. I certainly recommend it!

They should, but you should behave yourselves. Bad things tend to happen to those who cause trouble at the Faire…

I’ve been at the Faire IC one or two times, before the potions were implemented! Doing it cross-faction sounds like good fun.

Back in Mists of Pandaria, there was a Darkmoon Faire guild called the Darkmoon Company which actually used to host an event every Saturday the before the Darkmoon Faire used to go. I don’t think any guilds actually do any roleplay on Darkmoon Faire anymore.

It was pretty fun for me when I roleplayed there in Mists! I think there should be more people there, it’s a really fun place to roleplay. I’d love to see more activity on the Island.

Its actually a place I have often thought about using for a setting, not just for going and RPing, but for an actual event chain. I have massive plans for that place. I mean apart from the gaudy tents and stalls, the place is freakin’ dark and spooky. So Probably not this time round, we just finished one event chain, but I am eying the place up for the future (I mean unless one of my guildies is like “No Brigs, I have an idea, we do this!” in which case totally!" But yeah, as a setting, it is genius…

The Darkmoon Faire is a fun, quirky place and I’d be delighted to hear it used more for RP again. As Milrier pointed out there used to be a guild there who organised frequent happenings on the isle. It’s a great location for both purely light-hearted rp and plots where mysterious and dark things might happen under the jolly surface.

I remember making a machinima teaser for a Darkmoon Faire RP event years ago using characters from AD in it, good times.

Though it’s understandable a lot of characters rather busy themselves with the faction war, it would be nice to see more happen there sometime.

Sounds good to me. I hope this thread contributes a little.
People can post here if they’re on the faire, maybe it will attract people.

Ending up there on this orc somehow have long been a minor dream of mine, solely for the Lighthearted and comical RP potential, as his sons would discover

I hope this thread brings back some of the old Darkmoon Faire roleplayers, too. It’d be nice to have them back :smile:
