my US sub isn’t running so I will respond here to a debate I saw over there.
The reason I think Blizzard should ignore the Darkspear trolls for any future content is very easy.
- They have a home on the Echo Isles and a village in STV. They are doing fine. The jungle troll race is in no danger since we solved all their issues.
- Vol’jin has not been there yet again so I doubt Blizzard will dig him up for anything. They had 5 years and did nothing so far. If a plot beat is cold leave it be.
- Amani are the OG trolls that been in the game forever and I don’t think we should genocide people who did nothing wrong but fight to get their land back.
- they are race traitors aka the high elves of trolls who did all in their best to drive the other larger tribes to a place where they can’t recover. They chose Horde over people and that should not be rewarded.
- they already had their moment to shine in BFA when they formed the alliance with the Zandalari. Too much focus on specific groups is not needed in this case.
- Blizzard obviously doeesn’t know what to do with them as the heritage questline shows, just a Zalazane repeat and a fringe group of Loa no one knew before.
- and finally Darkspear Trolls are just Orcs in troll costumes they share no traits with other tribes we know and dropped all their culture when Thrall put reforms in.

Just like the high elves they chose faction over race. They deserve nothing until the rest of the trollkind is saved from certain doom. They are doing fine.
Where is teollkind in danger tho?
The darkspears are fine like you said and the zandalar are also good.
The sand and frost trolls are relatively small but I think they are fine.
The only tribe that is not fine are the amanis
Drakkari are fallen. Gurubashi left zul’gurub and Amani are reduced to Zul’aman. The players did their best ti grind all trolls into dust over the years. I used to like trolls and it is impossible to keep liking them if Blizzard never stops beating them down.
Well but look how most troll tribes are written.
Blood sacrifices to dangerous Loa. Cannibalism. Generally working with dark beings that are not particularly nice.

You were never a Gallywix fan either.
No I was. He was hillarious and I am very mad they went yet for another stoic hero charater nobody asked for. Especially when reading his short story and doing the quest where a hologram gives him a pep talk. So much wasted potential that gets axed to make the disney movie work out.

yes if the vast majority of your race are psychotic mass murders your a traitor if you dont side with them 
the Trolls are savages sure but they aren’t mass murderers they only want their land back.
The problem with the whole land thing is that the trolls are the oldest race.
By default most land is there land but over time other intelligent races developed and wanted space.
It’s normal that it comes to fights especially if you look at the trolls that weren’t that keen on sharing but where big fans of eating and or enslaving other races.
I would not give them back land either cause they have shown you can’t let them be to big or they eat you
the other races didn’t came in and asked nicley, they waged war on the trolls to get it. So no the humans and dwarves ndeserve nothing either since they only became strong by stealing.
