A bit offtopic but how do you get quality RP in Duskwood? I dipped my toe and it’s a clown fiesta of concepts as well as heroes that congregate like a nest’s worth of wasps at the slightest hint of a villain character attacking someone in the woods.

Engaging selectively helps. A lot.
So long as something isn’t egregiously bad, I’ll engage to a point, might turn out to be better than the surface suggested.
But I have to know when to cartwheel away.

It’s turning out to be an exercise in futility at this hour. You poke your head out of a bush and 20 Shadow the Edgehogs appear on the road nearby a minute after with holy flintlocks, fel blades and drakonid magic.

The most amount of fun I had in Duskwood was when I was on my mad scientist worgen character. Anything lorebending/lorebreaking he could view as a sort of undocumented anomaly, and everything else he could kind of engage with as he would any other character in any other zone.

I will admit that when I’ve played Obahar there who’s very much up his own backside and played straight that it’s been pretty miserable.

After so long, I think I’m numb to some things.
I usually do druid things, avoid albinos and heal people that crop up.
I still find enough fun or engagement for myself, but it doesn’t mean you’ll be able to. If you can’t find anything that makes you want to linger, free yourself.
