With the pruning in Midnight it has come to my attention that some specs get even more love than others. I have checked all the dps Midnight talent trees and used all the talents points on the spec side (with apex talents and if they were not implemented yet i just used 30 talent points to make it fair) . And there are some major winners and major losers when its comes to leftover talents.
The average talents leftover is around 10. Ret paladin has only 6 talents leftover, while Windwalker Monk has 18 leftover. This feels incredibly unfair and just shows that not every spec gets the attention they deserve. Same with the new Devourer DH it has only 7 talents leftover, and Shadow priest has 15 leftover talents.
I’ll love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this!
Why does it have to be unfair? Why isn’t it just “different”?
I also don’t even know what you even mean by what you’re saying. What is a “leftover” talent?
Also, its alpha, give feedback so they can iterate but “18 unfair, 6 fair!” is garbage tier feedback.
It’s the talents that you weren’t able to get to due to the amount of talent points that you have
and yeah sure you can argue that it’s just different but to me it feels like certain specs didn’t get enough thought. For example, shadow priest has 8 talents that go about shadowy apparitions. It shouldn’t be like that.
the more “leftover talents” simply means more situational talents. if you have less thats less options. how is that a good thing?
Did you consider multipoint talents as well? If you have 6 2-rank talents unselected, it’s more leftover talent points than having 10 1-rank ones.
Lots of ww talents are things like crit on different abilities.
Its a numbers game that someone with a calculator will have to work out. It doesn’t actually help the gameplay.
