Companies with access to spoofing phone numbers and hardware ids are running these bot farms making circumventing this trivial.
Most of the self proclaimed white-knights that report bots, don’t even know if they are bots or not. They just make assumptions.
From my experience of one of my accounts being suspended although no reason given, after fishing all day. Which, I got over-turned a couple of hour later. Proved to me that there had been no investigation of any kind done by Blizzard, because if they had they would have found no evidence as there was none to find.
So white-knights that report without having done any investigation or have any proof are actually in my view part of the problem.
Bots are useful, they keep prices low.
what if i as player dont mind botting ?
i mean i personaly will and have never used a bot iin game because im not gonna risk my account but i get it why players use them .
we as players all pasively benefit from that too even if we dont want to when they drop the crazy high prices of mats on AH - so for me its actully a good thing they exist .
honestly i think that with developement of AI blizz should put their own version of managed by mobile app AI-bots in game so they passively play while you are offline. you could manage them though mobile phone app - like sending your chars to do dailies / old raids etc - kinda autoplayer game while you are not online.
instead fighting with them they should embrace them as it would make world sooo much more alive and repopulated.
if we have working AI-dungeons while not go further and have also AI in open world doing events , doing old raids with you - inviting players to party in world quest areas etc etc .
embrace AI much further to repopulate game and make it “real” MMO
this title made me cringe, imagine walking around and referring to yourself as a gamer lol, pretty yucky
Same. I came in thinking this was going to be one of those cringy twitch things but OP has a point despite his terminology.
Haha… Fantastic idea… lol.
hello whats ur battletag lets meet up and ban bots
this can be trained. all it needs to do is wisper
a player is casual everyday type of person
a Gamer is a sweaty min maxer type of person
you get more " Gamers" in mythic and PvP
you get more " Players" in open world and LFR
I wasted a good starship trooper reference on this. god damn
If you are reporting them you are, unfortionately, by blizzards own design of having weeks to months at a time between banwaves which wether intentional or not keeps it lucrative for botters to keep buying new wow licenses and character boosts imply that you are wasting your time when you try this.
If blizzard was quicker to follow up on the reports, fast enough that it no longer becomes lucrative for botters to keep buying level boosts and new game licenses, then there would be a differen story.
Its not a conclusion I like, but it do be like that
One playes World of Warcraft and the other does Fortnite or some such…
A player is one who used what ever they have to play in world of Warcraft. Standard keyboard and standard mouse. While a gamer has all the latest ergo key board and multi button mouse and even a head set.
A player is a human being
A gamer is a ritalin, red bull and rage fuelled moron who is only capable of talking in bad memes and has never had an original thought in their life.
