is that a GAMER reports that bot! a player simply lets it happen! Don’t let it be you! help fight the rot! Report that Bot!
A gamer uses bots and exploits… a player enjoys the game.
i mean we’re on the same side, i think…the message wasn’t really about the gamer player thing it was more about the report bots thing.
Why they don’t bother me in the slightest. I wouldn’t even know a bot if I saw one.
the difference between gamer and player is gamer is a funny word.
a gamer doesnt cheat and doesnt whine when things are challenging. players suck
If you hold out your hands together under a waterfall, you can keep a small amount of water in your hands while the rest will find it’s way elsewhere.
The different between a player & a gamer.
Hmmmm
I would say a player probably has a single purchase setup/console, as they have more money due to it being a hobby. So they can spend money on being a “whale” if needed.
Were a gamer will purchase a proper pc setup, but normally will be terrible at the games they play ![]()
This guy’s sus…
Not at all fellow human.
You know what I think would solve the bot problem? People making bots to gank the other bots. It’s only a shame there isn’t a hardcore PvP server where you can rob player’s pocketses after you gank them.
EDIT: In fact, let me expand on this a bit. If you see someone you think is a bot, you put a hardcore flag on them. Real players would be able to turn it off by /whispering the secret password. If they don’t take the flag off then a demonlord spawns in, stomps that bot so hard it can’t revive, and then empties their bags.
If they want to solve the bot problem, they just need to have their scripts running, which detects the large transfer of gold from bot accounts to normal player/gamer accounts. Then completely ban both accounts and not just the WOW account, but fully banning the Battle.net account and the mobile phone number, which is bound too it with the authenticator.
Thus making it impossible for the same person to make a new account, if they only have a single phone number and make it not possible to use BlueStack to bypass that system.
Then Blizzard shares this information with Steam, Epic, EA, Ubisoft and they also ban all game accounts related to that individual!
There’s always edge-cases though. What counts as a large gold transfer? Average players make those transfers all the time I suspect.
And then ban them from life, lmao
ok no, wait, chill chill chill, I was JOKING, I was-…
Yes, yess… I like where this is going!
But jokes aside, they do need to be more aggressive with their stance. Right now they are not really doing anything because they want the money to keep coming in from the bot accounts and the accounts, which are buying the gold.
I reckon the bot accounts aren’t worth as much to them as the player accounts disrupted by it. Blizzard said it was a hard problem, and having seen some software, I can understand that.
But if there was a reliable way to identify a bot account as a bot account, then a player-controlled Demonlord Pocket Stomp (DPS) would work. If you could just identify them, maybe from movement patterns or scripts, then there would be no way for people controlling the bots to figure out a workaround to the “DPS”. And as long as real players didn’t move like bots or have identifying scripts to control their behaviors, then they’d need not suffer… the DPS.
I do, but sometimes I think they’re reporting me back…
…… one has clearly a girlfriend
the other one doesn’t.
There are too many annoying things happening out in the world to bother with most of it so most people don’t react until it effect themselves.
I hate this whole “GAMER” thing that seems to have taken the world by storm since twitch. If you enjoy video games, you are a gamer.
This elitism crap doesn’t help anyone actually enjoy games
I feel some of you didn’t read past the title v.v
