That’s a good point, it crossed my mind when I made one to try it. It would have created more variety, and given an option perhaps to make them somewhat more intimidating or menacing.
They wil be forgotten like the pandaren in future expansions
They are playable but not really present story or lore wise

As you can see, my Dracthyr already looks fantastic, but there’s always room for improvement - even for me.
Evoker was alright in my honest opinion bar the 25 yd range, I am definitely not a fan of looking like a dragon all the time so I used transformation toys but I got tired of the constant “I’m too far away” msgs because I just couldnt get used to the 25yd limit so I quit and deleted it.

The only concern I got is what will be with them after the expansion wrap-up of their story.
They just feel so out of place in the wow universe. I was expecting drakonids when I first heard of a playable dragon race. But instead we got these models that look more suited to a furry convention. Visage forms look whack too, why can’t you pick any race as your visage form? Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t that what dragons do in the lore like ebonhorn etc?

They should have had the option of making the augmentation evokers more earth/black dragonflight based, and you could opt into the muscle dragon form and instead of doing an earth breath or whatever you slam the ground and stuff, their physical form should be representative of the type of magic they’re aligned with imo
Actually I love them. They perfectly fits all my beast class needs. I love them being slim, I love them’s big wings and I love them’s long tails.
I came back to play WoW only because of them and I don’t even care about visage until Blizz make option to choose non-human/elf form.
The only problem I have with them are very limited transmog. They should at least give us an option to transmog hats.
How long have you been working at blizzard? How much did they pay you to say this HUGE lie.
All I can think of while looking at them is “goofy lizard”.

I’m not really interested in the truth when it comes to enjoying fictional draconic characters in a videogame.
I kinda like them, you don’t.
Some other people like them, some other people don’t.

Do I have to put “imo” at the end every time I express a personal preference? 
Also, “the Dracthyr are lame” isn’t any more a fact than “the Dracthyr are fine”.

Well we wanted dragonic race and Blizzard ordered us dragonic race… from wish.
One of the biggest mistakes this expansion.
I will say it until the end of times.
They should have gone all in on just making the race option your visage, with the class being dracthyr. And let you play in your desired visage.
Rather than whatever we got now which also only complicates things long term since people want to play other classes as the scalies…
Should have just made snakes playable, overall better design as well.
Respect the lizard people. I like them!
