I remember the old days when I used professions and was making me actual gold and it was really a fun experience overall… Farming was chill and rewarding. You could farm herbs making potions selling on auction house being creative with the whole system flipping materials around was super rewarding and I used to make millions of gold using professions IT WAS SUPER FUN !
Fast forward we’re in this mess of an expansion and they made it soooo hard to make gold its ridiculously unrewarding, the professions dont amount to anything significant… And its pretty damn obvious what they’re doing…
They simply don’t want you to have gold so you only buy their gametime with money… It’s obvious
How the hell one hour of farming herbs using herbalism rewards me with some:
Saxifrage - 92 silver each in auction house
Bubble poppy - 59 silver each in auction house
Hochenblume - 8 silver each in auction house
A total of like 50gold or less ? Are you serious ?
I tried leatherworking same… Materials are like 10 silver ? like what ?
Mining same … ?
In what universe does it make sense to have profession that will amount to 50 gold per hour ?
On top of all that they made it so much more complicated with this talent system with the professions its such a mess…
I wish the developers just stop updating the game at this point because everything they make turns out a complete disaster and they don’t have good intentions towards the players they just want to exploit you as a customer and ruin your gaming experience in the process.
Doing pvp even breaks your armor forcing you to repair quite often. Repair costs are through the roof I’m paying 300 - 400gold for repairs super often ?
if you want to make gold
Buy multiple accounts.
if you have a good pc then run 4-5 wows at the same time . and start mining and herbalism on each nodes in zaralek cavern multiple times. since multiboxing without a program is fine nothing bad will happen to you.
i guarantee you that reports wont do anything against you. and you will make 300k per day .
Huh? how is this 50 gold per hour? Don’t you overload something, and do you get only 1 flower in an hour? Sell your rousing whatevers I am sure you can make more than 50 gold in an hour.
Tip, more chars… i just did the ferocity WQ for 1700 gold on 7 chars.
I’m sure there’s some niche methods that some nerds are exploiting to make a lot of gold but I’m talking about the normal casual players… I used to make decent gold as a casual and now everything seems to be super niche methods that few players know about and exploit. Professions are absolute trash is what I’m trying to say

as long as multiboxing without program is not against the TOS you will see this kind of things.
its just not normal. i didnt see any other online game where people buy multiple account to make gold in the game. now the worst part is that they play with multiple characters in world pvp too
The upside is that consumables and enchants are really cheap, which is neat if you don’t try to pay for your subscription with gold or aren’t into collecting stuff. I just do M+ and raid, and I make more money than I spend. The occasional world quest, flavor bag, or healer CTA bag keep me sufficiently financed.
If I wanted to make money with gathering professions, I’d gather in previous expansion areas.
Professions are actually very good in money making in DF, even gathering ones.
You are just gathering items that are in big supply due to bots and low demand due to late in the season and consequently low in price.
You probably remember start of some expansion and comparing it to this late in DF. Gathering profession are most worthwhile at the beginning of every profession.
With the same time it takes me to make 15k with professions I could do a second job and sell a token to one of those hundred of bots tbh… it’s actually easier I’d say.
First of all we are at the end of expansion what do you expect?
I used to make a lot of money in DF during first season
Now everybody has everything so of course prices are lowest
I already maxed out profession points
that was not possible at the begining so things were not cheap
It also doesn’t help that we’re at the end of a raid tier now, so demand for materials is down as well, people crafted what they want, don’t need as many consumables anymore, professions are in a bit of a slump now.
But making some kind of “They want you to buy your sub with real money”-conspiracy about it… You do realize that those tokens you buy with gold were bought with real money by somebody else, right?

You have to realize if you are trying to gold farm on gatherable materials you are competing with literal botfarms
one account you will not cut it because there are whole botfarms dumping materials on the auction house meaning you’re not going to see a price increase and the only way to really counteract that is to get more resources per node and that’s where multiboxing comes in cause when you multibox you can gather 1 node multiple times
I am sure you can make more than 50 gold in an hour.
