Having got The Dreadwake I find it peculiar that being a galleon / ship / boat or whatever it does not sail across the water but SWIMS!! This must be a bug surely and if so needs fixing, Really, a swimming boat!!! LOL!
they are so bad nowadays this is just an example. Logic 0 in Blizz right now.

I honestly dont know, is there any cash shop mount that has an extra ability?
Striders are rep, Skygolem is engineer, Turtle is fishing, seahorse rep or quest (cant remember, dont care) mounts with passenger places arent really anything extra at all.
Very symptomatic for bfa. It just feels lazy.
Yip I agree, when I got mine I was bemused when I discovered this. Knowing Blizzard they’ll fix it in the future it will be a main feature of a patch akin to the WoD selfie patch lol, might even be a main feature of a future Blizcon lol.
The answer is really simple, is it better for people to complain that it doesn’t swim/float or do you want the people to rightfully complain that there’s a store mount that walks on water and how unfair it is, pay 2 win, blabla…

Really easy way to prevent this complain for Bliz, release more water-walking mounts in-game. It absolutely doesn’t make sense for a ship to not float on water, but neither does it for other mounts like crocodile mounts etc… Make these water-walking and problem solved, and everyone is happy to get rid of their water-strider mounts.

Actually, crocodiles don’t float above the water, they swim. Bugs, on the otherhand do float, but also ships. It’s about what makes sense for the mount. There are already two mounts that can water walk in game for free. If a store mount does the same, I don’t see any problem with it.

there only being two (hidden behind faction rep), if many more were available from several sources (in other varieties than bugs), it would be fine. But having the choice between a boring bug and a cool-looking ship, everybody will say pay-to-look-good.
It’s a flying ship, an air ship so to speak, it’s not a water boat.

Just a month late to the party tbh…it it was able to float then the P2W snowflakes will scream holy murder.
Absolutely this. And this feature would not be PTW, since players can acquire water walking mount in the game, and having it would not get anyone- BIS gear in the game, wins and position to stomp others in PvP or advantage over other players when it comes to the raiding/mythic + progression.

There isn’t really anything to be sorted. It’s a flying ship, it’s not a water floating boat.
