The End of an Era

Today marks the end of an era for me. As a player that has played since Warcraft 3 (yes im a “mature” player), i have enjoyed the trials and tribulations of WoW. It has under pinned a lot of my social time alongside other activities, including Hearthstone and off-line card games, but now no-more.

I sit here having read more and more about the allegations of the culture within Activision/Blizzard and find myself thinking that i can not find it in my heart to support this business. I have already changed my subscription from its 6 monthly to monthly, i have already started playing Eve Online, but now i will cancel my subscription for the foreseeable future.

I aim to complete the final chapter and the battle with The Banshee, and then depart. I might come back, but that will depend on how the culture changes and if the game improves.

I wish those that stay behind to continue the ever ending battle between Horde/Alliance and the elements well. But for now “Tenn’ enomentielva, Namárie” - (Until we meet again, Goodbye)

Good luck! Understand where your coming from, me and my guilds in the same position. Not wanting to support blizz as it currently is. In this awkward morale battle of do we stay or should we leave. Hoping with the new management, all the people thats left and hiring 400 new people, things might change.

So the allegations outraged you so much you changed your sub from six monthly to monthly and then decided to quit in a month or so when you’ve ticked your ‘to do’ items off?

So you’re bored of the game… don’t beat around the bush.
