The fact you bring back [Violet Spellwing] back for legion remix doesn't make sense

so, now also curve mounts at end of expansion are reapearring? Somehow you forgot about wolf from pandaria.

Anyway cool, another information that staying subbed is not important because you will get anything for free in few years anyway, so why would you waste your time on getting gear that will be replaced, and fomo items reppear all the time.

0 sense of accomplishment for playing game in current time.

Everytime my friends ask me what’s point of playing game where gear no longer matters in few months anyway, I said that every season has unique rewards for it and it stays with you as achievement. Well that was only reasonable argument that is fading

I think this is the only curve mount I have I think, as I have had very little time to raid for more than a decade. Ofc that’s the only one they are bringing back :joy: (so far).

I can’t blame them though, it’s by far the coolest curve mount I have ever seen.

With that said - rewards are kinda worthless to me these days. You get them from everything, and I am unable to tell what the stuff people are using are from. It all just blends together.

The reason is because of the Birb group that gave away world wide free boosts to get the ATOC mount done for 1000s of players and blizzard know’s this.

Play PvP and you are set for exclusive rewards.

if blizzard fails to see why fomo rewards are important for game to “force people” into continuously playing, it’s on them. Every online game has fomo rewards and it’s only reason why people even play ranked matches in moba each season etc. At this point I think i will stop paying for 6 months sub and buy 1 month cuz when I get bored i can just play other games and not waste money on wow. Later I will get all the rewards from trading post or remix of just from basic vendor anyway I guess.

so what’s the point of wasting money on worse expansions when blizzard themselves kill meaning of exclusive?

I’d rather delete myself in Minecraft than play Legion for the millionth time. No idea why they keep remaking a boring expansion instead of creating new content for the zones. Legion wasn’t even good until Suramar, and that fell off fast. Then came Argus and the same thing happened. You know it’s rough when BFA felt more compelling both narratively and aesthetically. Hell, I’d take fighting N’Zoth again over doing the Broken Isles.

Personally I liked legion and I’m ok with legion remix ( because it’s cheap way to make content, otherwise we would probably get nothing )

but what I’m against and I don’t understand is why they make exclusive rewards come back, as they don’t care exclusive rewards are only thing that keeps players subbed, otherwise who would care to stay subbed when everything could be obtained all the time, who would push rating in pvp or pushing m+ for milion times if rewards were just for free in vendors ? Answer is easy, not for blizzard appearently though.

They could make recolour, but no, they are bringing back exclusive reward, as someone will even use it once it will be free loot. They don’t know much about psychology and their own game and it shows.

Just put the exclusive rewards on the trading post or make them available in the modern game. No one wants to waste time leveling through Legion again for no reason. It’s like Skyrim at this point. I hit the Guardian Stones and turn it off because it’s so boring.

yeah that would completely kill this game for reason i’ve already said.
bringing back rng stuff is ALL FINE, because you can get it all the time anyway and giving it other more interesting options to get it is cool.

Exclusive rewards should stay exclusive though. Instead of bringing back violet spellwing they should make another recoloured version, for example green, it would be better

No one genuinely cares that you got the item back in 2017. What matters is how you felt when you earned it nearly a decade ago. All it shows is that you were around during Legion and that’s it.

At some point, all that exclusive content just becomes a wall that keeps new players out. Why bother joining a game when you can’t even access half the stuff just because you weren’t there at the time?

I wasn’t around in pandaria / wod, didn’t get exclusuive rewards and im still against bringing it back. The only reason people want these rewards are because they are no longer obtainable, basic tmog from trading post looks better anyway, why people still wear it is the fact it shows their acomplishment and remind them of their achievement.

It also shows other players that it’s worth staying subbed and playing to get unique rewards.
All games have it, otherwise it wouldn’t matter at all if you skipped 101201021 seasons and did everything in just one then uninstalled game, which would kill mmorpg genre completely

the no longer obtainable rewards should be just hidden, for new players it’s information that it’s worth staying subbed. Do people cry in lol(or milion other populated- for a reason- games) about skins someone had for high rank in that season, or does it encourage them to try ranked games themselves?

So what if you weren’t around in Pandaria or WoD? People want those rewards because they look good and they want to complete their account. Just like how players still run Molten Core for classic tier gear even though it’s a pain.

If the main reason to stay subbed is to chase exclusive rewards, then when should I even sub? A huge part of the game is already locked away. It’s the same problem with season passes, and why Halo got praise for letting players go back and earn old rewards.

FOMO doesn’t make people happy. It just burns them out and emotionally blackmails them into staying subbed. And sure, it works for a while, but when they finally take a break and come back, all they see is a mountain of cool stuff that’s been sunsetted. Just like Destiny 2. So they go play something like RuneScape instead, where long-term progression is valued and nothing is cut off, just earned through time and effort.

What does that even mean? It’s not 1997 where you have to track down the one guy who knows everything. Just go to Wowhead.

I myself didn’t get rewards from it and I still don’t want them because I know exclusive rewards for games are only thing that keeps players actively interested in playing it.
you answer to me almost like you don’t even read what I’ve written.

simple example if exclusive rewards didn’t exist- people would skip boring expansions, boring patches or just wait for any rewards to become easy to obtain to get it for free instead of pushing m+/raids/pvp etc. just use simple logic and elementary psychology so you will get it.

lmao, it surely encourages people to stay subbed, but calling it this way is super weird.

Give me example of one succesful online game where all rewards are easy to get and has 0 fomo rewards I’ll wait eternity because people dgaf about these games

I don’t have vast majority of all the so called fomo rewards either missing them by not being present or by not possessing enough skill at that time to get them in time.

Still, I do not want them back, it is not healthy for the game. The only way I can agree with is to bring them back rewarded by similar challenge. E.g. the 5 mask FOMO achiev and title from horrific visions is a good example that imho works and is no harm to the game.

The most played games on the planet have no exclusive rewards. The oldest games out there don’t either. If exclusive rewards are the only thing keeping people playing, then your game is in serious trouble because it clearly isn’t offering anything of real value.

People already skip expansions, even the popular ones. Real life comes first. No one’s life revolves around World of Warcraft. People have responsibilities, jobs, families. WoW isn’t that important in the grand scheme of things.

They play because it’s fun, not because it’s some exclusive reward machine. They play for the social side, the gameplay, the story, the immersion. Not for some 1 percent drop rate mount or a secret WotLK item.

Most of these old, unobtainable items mean nothing to new players. They’re just a source of frustration. The game rubs your face in what you missed, and even if it tried to hide them, people still notice. They still interact with them. They even download addons that show the full list of everything they will never get in a game they pay for and play to relax.

No one said the rewards had to be easy to get, even though they were at the time because WoW is a very casual game. I can give you countless examples of games that leaned into FOMO and ended up driving their audience away because of it.

FOMO only works for a while. Eventually people stop caring because it’s not worth sacrificing real parts of their life for pixels. It’s better when the game respects their time and meets the player where they’re at.

yeah and you still didn’t give example just throwing words blindly

What is the oldest game on the planet? Does it offer exclusive rewards?

Right, because celebrating the community working together with a “prestigious” mount would just be too much, huh?
“blizzard knows it and they hate it”
Is this even an argument worth having?

just give a name hun, one online popular game

give a name, it’s not hard appearently, or based on how you CAN’T, IS IT ?
