The fate of fresh 80 players without guild

Maybe I am on a lower populated server, but it seems for me that it harder and harder to fin the missing link to get into even heroic dungeons, after hitting 80, and not in a guild.
In most cases you will get max level, before finishing all zones, so the the natural step would be to run normal dungeon, -parallell finishing the reamining zones - to get some gear, do the dungeon quests, so you may have a chance to get invited to a party (or make ppl join yours), or you have the timegated rep farm to buy stuff from the quartermasters.

What is your experience?

We don’t have such experience because the level cap is 60.

The experience around here, usually, is to get to level 60.

Maybe I am wrong, but the last time I checked, the max level was 80 in Wrath of the Lich King…

I really appreciate your invitation, and so many time i would rather play Vanila’s “let’s go on an adventure” immersion style, but right now I simply don’t have time to manage rretail, wotk and vanilla

Indeed as @Overspark said it was Destiny, join us in Era

My experience right now is at a point of horrible that I stopped playing WotLK even tho it’s my most favourite expansion. Blizzard really hyped me up for WoW classic (Vanilla) when they first announced it. My brain immediatly went: “Can’t wait to relive WotLK!” but Blizzard never fails to dissapoint…

Fortunately I’m in a guild but trying to gear my alts outside of guild groups has been fairly miserable.

Problem is people who don’t need gear from HC+ are running them for badge farming and disenchanting. But they won’t take lower GS people who actually need the gear.

It’s for that reason that I’m no longer opposed to the idea of RDF.

Unless you join one of the meme-leveling guilds on your realm that have like 900 members, “Real Guilds” rarely fix pre-raid gearing issues with new players outside of the start of the expansion, Every guild I’ve been in has been composed of raid loggers who only log in to raid.

What you are thinking about is vanilla/tbc, there is no point in doing that in wrath. Grab what you can get from the auctionhouse and go straight into naxx 10/25 and gear up there.

I’m in a guild, but i’ve been gearing my alts independently of it. The most logical step is to get to 80, and then use gold you farmed on your main or farm gold to spend 5-10k on the AH to get to 4.1k GS. Then you round out missing pieces in Naxx SR runs (if you don’t have more gold), and then move into Ulduar NM SR runs. From there you start into SR runs with “some hardmodes”, and then finally full HM SR runs.

If you’re established and have gold (because you’ve been carrying in GDKPs on main, for instance), you use that gold to get into a full HM ulduar run at fresh 80, and soak 232 gear and a few good pieces for 2-3 weeks, and then you’re caught up.

All of this is significantly easier if you play a class/spec that’s in excess demand, otherwise it might be hard to impossible to get going without a guild.

In order to join hm sr run you first need to have done it in a guild with good parses. Atleast thats how it is on mograine.

So fresh ppl without a guild cant do this with reliable clears

I mean yeah, as a fresh player you have to start somewhere, and it’s not in established fast clearing groups.
