Is Stupid! 3 and a half hours for me to not even be able to get 5 procs to do a chef chore… are you serious with this Blizz… This event needs to be made more accessible and actually completable.

Is that the one with the soup chef?
If so thats strange done it a number of times with no problems. Could ofc be server specific, or maybe an addon causing a problem?
i think someone went AFK or did not notice they have the ‘go fetch’ tasks

The problem, I think, is that if you are on a large shard, or at peak time, there will be 30-50 people around the pot.
Meaning that you will be lucky to get 5 orders from the chef to “Yes Chef” to. Which would mean having to do another feast to complete the quest to do 5 tasks.
I think you don’t actually have to do the task, just click “Yes Chef”, but I could be wrong.
No I am on a huge server, this has happened a couple of times and the spam is absolutely insane with the amount of players there, so please, dont leave a comment as if im stupid.

I agree that the event is unimaginative and sucks, but I doubt you have 100 people doing it outside of reset day. In which case the valrus gives you enough tasks.
Try other times. More quiet. This morning had roughly 20 people. Had to do too many quests. Haha.
Usually at the beginning of the week there is a lag full of people.
You just don’t get quests because of the sheer amount. Try typing/reload to reset ui and see if that triggers the system to recognise that you are there.
I think they coded it so the NPC gives orders by going through the list of accessible players.
The more people, the longer the list, the longer you need to wait.
They should just make Feast an instance, and allow max. 15-20 ppl per instance.

Happened to me as well, once.
Try to go in the morning hours if you can. If not on weekdays then on weekends. Then you should be able to get enough tasks.
Still I understand your frustration, my server is busy as well so sometimes I can only complete the quest on the second or the third try.
Also, sometimes when I get a task it disappears so quickly that I don’t even have time to click the chef hat button.

They really should make the area mount and toy free, it’s so annoying when some people just stand there with big mounts. Also not sure if they stress tested it with enough people, because it does get really messy. So far though have been able to complete the quest everytime with plenty time left too.

what they need to do is place the weekly quest elsewhere, or make it auto-accept
that little kid is very hard to see in between the crowds

I’ve often had to do the five tasks over two feasts. It’s just complete RNG if you get a job or not. Some I get loads, others I barely get any.

Agree, the reset can be lengthy (I guess it’s the same for the other events?), so I just stopped bothering to even look for them.
I suggest it’s reduced to an hour reset, but of course, the soup’s duration (eat only period) and the buff too have to be shortened. So… maybe 1.5 hours?
And yes, we need more sharding too - I was lucky enough to finish all of the few times I participated, but there’s at least 30 people doing constant AoE even on a mid pop server…
That too, thank god I could avoid this. I’d totally go nuts!

Yea happened to me - was asked to go buy stuff from vendors but was unaware that I had the task. Need to look on the right hand side and look out for the chef hat icon. Then look on mini-map for yellow dots and go fetch the goods. If you don’t complete it you don’t get another task.
it happened to me few times too
i just happen to have grinded this event till renown 30 
been in raids and massive crowds many times
never had issues with not getting tasks unless i’m already on a fetch task and unaware !

I work 7am to 7pm every day but 1 and honestly im very lucky if I can attend 1 feast a week as rl takes most of my days off, evenings are for the bf.
Also people are still able to mount around the feast pot,
