The feelings your character experiences while casting various schools of magic?

How do you think it would feel like to cast the various schools of magic in the Warcraft Universe to your character?

Here are my ideas. Some of them taken from lore, some from headcanon:

Arcane - A mild, slightly addictive buzz like what you get from Alcohol or Nicotine.

Fel - Very addictive and pleasurable. Imagine combining Opiates with sexual pleasure.

Nature - I guess to a Druid it would be like a combination of getting stoned on weed and taking Hallucinogens. A trippy, calm feeling of being “one with nature.”
To a Shaman it would feel the roaring, crashing waves of the ocean, the consuming burn of fire etc. based on what kind of elemental magic they cast. Spirit magic would have a similar trippy feel like what the Druid experiences.

Light - It would feel like being the star of your own 80s action movie while the Power Rangers theme song blasts from the background. Perhaps the closest Warcraft equivalent to “Expecto Patronum” from Harry Potter. Pleasureable and motivating, but not addicting.

Void - It would feel disquieting, trippy, and mentally damaging. IRL equivalent could be inhaling paint thinner or glue.

Chi - I guess somewhat similar to Light but milder, maybe like how Neo from the Matrix felt when he could first use his superpowers against the agents.

Death/Necromancy - This is the most tricky, how could wielding Death feel like? Maybe similar to Arcane but also feeling a sense of calm and order? It is implied that being undead and/or delving into necromancy makes you immune to the Void’s maddening effects.

Interesting topic. Having never put anything besides alcohol into my body, I can’t comment on the narcotics references…

I’d assume Light would feel… “right” / righteous, like doing a good deed / ‘doing the right thing’ - doing something you know to be good and right (subjectively…).

I imagine Void might feel cold, terrifying, and very empowering.

Fel, I suppose, would feel chaotic, empowering, forbidden, and strangely invigorating, kind of like doing something you know is “wrong” but it ‘feels good’.

Arcane, from what I’ve read, I think feels like being top notch; depending if it’s a helpful or destructive spell, it might feel like being a rocket scientist, or an expert sniper…

Nature magic I guess might feel like experiencing an impressive natural wonder or force of nature, as well as a very close connection with nature. Perhaps even feeling as if nearby nature (flora and fauna) is a part of you, or that you are a part of it.

Elemental powers I believe would feel kind of like my Nature paragraph, except one would feel this towards the elements, not nature. For instance, the shaman could feel connected to the rock on which they stand, or the air, temperature and moisture around them.

Necro- I bet would just feel very wrong and disgusting, kind of like eating something nasty or vomiting… (One might “get used to it” over time, but it’s still disgusting even though the wielder might not loathe it.)

As monks revere harmony, balance and self-control, I surmise channeling Chi feels very “right”, and the channeler might feel very much in touch with him-/herself, as chi and spirit is pretty much the same thing?

I don’t think using magic should be compared to using drugs.
Using magic is addictive, yeah, but addictive doesn’t instantly mean you’re high af from it. And if you were, why would spellcasters be able to “act normal” so to speak, and even concentrate on the spell itself, which, no matter the magic type, should be a process that takes years to learn and is not only an incredibly physically and mentally demanding process, but also pretty complicated?

Arcane: Mildly addictive. In short doses, relatively fine. When drawing in a lot of mana and expelling it, extremely exhausting but increases desire to push limits.

Fel: Destructive and corrupting. Whenever used, something about the character changes. More violent tendencies, mood swings, change in posture et cetera. Completely unbeknownst to the character. Usually subsides unless repeated use.

Nature: Somewhat of an out of body experience, less concerned with oneself and more attuned with the surroundings. Experiencing time differently and new feelings almost indescribable to others.

Light: Also quite corrupting. Amplifying one’s courage, righteousness and sense of morality, but can quickly devolve into zealousness and lack of reason when relied upon.

Void: Depends on the extent. I would imagine minor usage would induce minor headaches or irritation, like something clawing in the back of your skull. Hearing feint unintelligible whispers that progressively grow louder with continued usage. Causing paranoia and symptoms of schizophrenia. With fully surrendering to the Void and madness being eerily peaceful and quiet as your consciousness drifts away.

Chi - Peaceful. A feeling of true balance even in dire circumstances. Almost joyous in a way, being able to stare impending doom in the face and smile while doing so.

Necromancy - Taking psychotic, twisted and warped pleasure in being able to disrupt the natural order at will. Unempathetic and extreme overconfidence.
