Hello everyone, first I would like to introduce myself. As many of you already know my char name is “Destinite” and I have been a part of the Outland community since 2008. I have watched the server go from strength to strength during my time however in the last 5 years I have watched my friends, fellow guildies and guilds which made Outland great disappear.

There is no sense of community spirit, there is no sense of rivalry either in PVP or PVE nobody cares about anyone.no one even talks, I cannot name a single decent PVE guild or PVP guild which is dedicated. The forums community is awful and the only server that seems to be alive is Argent Dawn with RP Lore.

We have been telling blizzard for years that it wasn’t good enough that people wanted a easy ride. The zones are dead people don’t even quest anymore they have no sense of community or helping each other what so ever.

Each expansion since 2011 more guilds have left and more people quiting and the reason is because of dumbing down the game and making it easier for people to obtain stuff. Sharding is the biggest mistake they have done in recent years it divides the community and yes you do see balance factions in zones but who wants to see a random person from another server that means nothing or killing random people in WPvP?

I am not a big fan for Vanilla as i know exactly how much time you need to put into the game how ever i took the challenge to see what the big fuss was about. I don’t like anything non-official but decided to see what it was like on a private server with roughly 10000k online. It was the best experience everyone helped each other the leveling is hard but you feel a sense of accomplishment people know each other and people help or invite you for questing because they have to kill rares which are impossible to solo.

Below are some of the points which i feel killed retail Wow, some of you will disagree and that’s fine your right to have your opinion:

  • Flying mounts?
  • Talents in 2012?
  • Gem sockets on PvP gear?
  • remove pvp resilience?
  • No one asked For merging servers?
  • Sharding?
  • Random rares which aint rare?!
  • Titan forged gear
  • Mythic?
  • PVE warfronts!?
  • Removing a PvP vendor?!
    The list is endless…

So, some points are valid, but most people are casuals, which means they have a job, a life, and cant put too much into a game like it happened in the past. People grow up and people quit is inevitable.
If you arent enjoying the game is best you quit, but dont tell others what to do.
We all know what is happening, mostly lack of content and lack of dev communication are the main issues.
People change, so do people in games, people used to be friendlier 10 year ago, not the case now, it reflects in the game, they had to shard it to balance the realms, it was also going to happen at some point.
Game is still very alive and has new players, but maybe its your time to quit but dont tell others what to do. People will just ignore you.
