The Future of WoW regarding characters (PC and NPC)

So, since we’ve got a roadmap, we know the next expansions, but the full content of the latter 2 is still a mystery for the most part.

What I want to talk about is the characters I’d like to see in the future.

  1. Will we finally meet Fenris Wolfbrother? In Warlords of Draenor, it’s revealed that he was the eldest son of Garad, and thus Durotan’s brother, making him Thrall’s uncle. He dies by the end of Frostfire Ridge story, but that is not the case for one of our universe. Fenris is the chieftain of the Thunderlord Clan, and the last orc chieftain of the OG Horde. And in Beyond the Dark Portal novel, he goes to the Broken Isles to retrieve the Scepter of Sargeras, before returning to Draenor, after which his fate remains unknown. We know that both Turalyon and Alleria survived Draenor’s explosion, so wouldn’t that also be the case for Fenris?
It would be nice to have another badass OG orc from 1st Hordes with us now that Saurfang is gone.
Who knows? Maybe he too stumbled through one of the portals, into a realm populated by Ethereals, and they stuck him in a stasis prison for having less than a hospitable response to their existence.
  1. It’s regarding playable races, or rather, lack thereof. Those being Ogres and Taunka. Ogres are a no-brainer, since they were part of OG Horde, much thanks to Cho’gal. But now, even after Rexxar became their leader and forced them to join the Horde, having bases in both Dustwallow Marsh and Ferlas, as well as exiles from alternate Draenor, we’ve yet to have them as a playable race. And the Horde could really use another giant ugly smasher race.
I can see Midnight being the last chance for their appearance to make sense since the Burning Crusade and Warlord of Draenor didn’t pull through. After all, without any leadership, there’s “no voice in their ears but the Maw”.
As for Taunka, they were pretty much stuck within the Wrath of the Lich King bubble, even though they officially joined the Horde in the Dragonblight story, but were then never featured anywhere else again, and the mention of them in Legion expansion was completely removed. The only sense at this point for them to be relevant again as an Allied Race would be in the Last Titan when we finally return to Northrend again.

I will admit, I have no idea who Fenris Wolfbrother is. But I’ve always liked orcs, so sure why not.

As for your race choices: Ogres definitely make sense, yes. I’d rather see them than Taunka; with the latter better being of as customization options for tauren imo (like several of the allied races, honestly).

You’re naming 2 horde races though; what about the alliance?
Two races is unlikely to happen, I think. More so with them being just for 1 faction.

Fenris Wolfbrother is featured as a main antagonist in Frostfire Ridge in WOD, as well as the book Beyond the Dark Portal.

I’m talking about Horde specifically because ever since the end of BFA they’ve felt lacking in character, so I’ve nothing for Alliance as everything seems to be going honkeydory for them in general.
