The game is officially pay to win

It’s impossible to break certain thresholds without gear, because the meta at low rating is that there’s always at least one 40k+ hp meta class on the opposing team. You can’t get gear without breaking those thresholds.

So either you pay for a boost (or ask someone you know), or you’re stuck. World of Warcraft has finally turned pay to win and it’s not even paying Blizzard themselves because they’re too stupid to think of it.

yes, if they don’t give us a decent gearing system and a SoloQ, the game actually is pay to win.

Don’t need solo Q to fix the game. All we need is blizzard to update tos to make any form of paid boosting service bannable for both parties included and to make it so there isn’t multiple ilvls of pvp gear in pvp. The whole point of being a good/ pro player is meant to be cosmetic rewards, not a edge in getting gear, not having the best gear available. Else it loses the competitive spirit and creates a border of entry unreachable even by players who should be above it. I’m calling it out, the high tier players and YouTubers smurfing on their mains at 1600 to 2k in glad gear are pathetic and part of the problem. Would spit names but I really don’t think I can without being suspended

Edit 2: I get it dumpster noobs with gear advantage from being a active player, I like it too but that’s why I do random bgs and skirms and go slap players in blues when I don’t want to think where its the only dynamic pvp environment left in the game with 0 impact to a rank or reputation of meaning at max level. Not gate keep genuine players trying to climb who are at a sufficient gear disadvantage vs boosters

Been that way for a while now.

Since RBGS are the easiest avenue for gear I see no reason for the forumers to consistently complain about gear gaps. Just keep playing.

Tbh it’s just pay to win in the case of alts and ppl joining late.

And blizzard surprisingly managed to not butcher any overpowered class since launch, for people to complain about the grind it takes to gear up other classes they are forced to play after being nerfed on main.

I mean look at the game…

Rets rogues mages boomkin warriors ww

All are still oneshotty and overpowered since launch with no fixes.

I think people need to understand blizzard’s seemingly new logic.

“Launch an expansion and people slowly grind together at same pace, and making alts is pmuch out of the question”

enh shadow ele hpal is on the same level.
frost dk, hunter, feral, rshaman, disc, holypriest, rdruid, affli are not far behind. If we have that many viable specs then balance isnt really a problem right now.

You guys could argue about the gearing system which has its flaws but balance wise the game is fine for blizzards standards. Almost whole bfa was worse. Blizzard could and should do way more balance changes but i dont like people saying “its the worst its ever been” when its clearly not. Not even close.

You need gear to win, but you can’t get gear if you don’t win. At least increase the conquest from arena wins to 50.

There are some noobs here that don’t consider the game PAY TO WIN because the earth is flat and Reptilians are among us! Make sure to read all the comments on my personal thread made few hours ago. The amount of stupid people on the forums is just amazing. :ok_hand:

I actually feel this is now true. I don’t think it was intentional at all but it’s ended up being that way with the huge gear gap and I honestly don’t see them changing it.

They will be looking at numbers saying we’ve lost x amount of subscribers but we’re still making more money from the people that play so we don’t have a problem. It will hit them suddenly when numbers are to low and it’s been to long to recover the players that have quit.

This is the problem when a company can’t oversee problems from the fact their earning more! (Of course I understand it’s a business but for it to last and continue in the distant future you need a bigger player base)

rbgs take too long for many people.
If you got 2h play time a day, you just cannot farm rbgs. Might take 2h to form a group already and then each game takes like 20-30mins

yeah this seem to be a big problem at blizzard.
They display their ability to foresee anything with each patch releasing broken stuff.
So no wonder they cannot foresee bad business decisions either.

Really strange managers they got.
Earning quick cash is great but not at the expense of the long term future. Considering there are no worthwhile games in their pipeline either, I don’t get their strategy.
D4 will be their next main release in probably 2 years and mostly it will be a dumpsterfire with pay to win or cash shop that is generally horribly balanced. But D4 doesn’t even appeal to every one.
So what they have left is hearthstone? Because SC2 = dead, D3 = dead, WoW = not in a good shape looking to the future, HotS = dead

more lay offs probably on the way.
Sadly, even I gave up and canceled my sub… 9.1 looks like any changes coming, so mostly i will not come back any time soon. When forum is more fun than the game, we got a problem

You can always start the lobby yourself, pick whoever you want and queue up.

Really that simple.

If it isn’t soloQ I cannot see an improvement from this.

Yes you can. And after the first loss half the team will leave. Or after a few wins, which is only a few hundred conquest, not even enough for one item, you have to replace most of the people or start looking for another group. It sounds easy, but it isn’t. You need almost 20 rbg wins to get the weapon only. 20 rbg wins this season has taken me many, many hours, and most of these wins were from back in December, when it was easier.

Or even 100. No, I’m not joking. I see no reason why ilvl 200 gear should be hard-gated like this. It’d at least make it easier for people to gear up fast in order to be able to progress through the brackets.
