I m 72 level and I m able to do a segment per hour out of 20. So i need about 20 hours to finish a level. This means I need about 5 days to complete a level. So i need yet about 40 days of leveling. I mean it s kind of boring to do these quests and press the same buttons over and over again.
And i started this classic game to just do some pvp, but after 40 days I shall be at the bottom while everybody else will have conquest gear.
People telling me that very lazy players are able to reach 80 at 30 hours. How is that possible? I do something wrong?

You can get some addons to speed up the questing process in an almot braindead state. (Zygor)
Should bring yourself down do ~5 hours per level, if you are not about the journey / leveling enjoyer
The game as it was originally designed was to maximise the value of your subscription. Subscription based services were still frowned upon at the time.
Nowadays, people can get a level every 3 hours through dungeons.
Get an addon for leveling like Questie and read some online guides for leveling. Generally, even as a newer player, you should be able to gain a level in 4-5 hours, less if you are good. That means around 50 hours or less from 70-80.

I’d say 6 hours a level is more fair considering just one person at the same progress as you in a zone will slow you down a ton.

That’s your problem that you need 20 hours per level, normal people need only 4-6, might reconsider doing things differently.
Maybe gruelling non stop dungeon farming.
It’s not for me though.
How did you manage to do 40 segments in the short lifespan wotlk has had?

Are you using your spell lvl 10 with 0 damage ?
Bruh idk what you’re doing but you’re doing something wrong.
With my heirloom set I currently level within 1hour 30 minutes per level with a guide.
My first char took 2hours 30 minutes each level on average.
I dont understand how you do it all of you. Right now i got the addon zygor and questie and i m able to do 2 segments of one level in 1 hour. It s better but i still need about 70 hours to reach from 73 to 80. No matter how hard i try, how focused am i, it s the same pathetic outcome… hehe

Whats that sound? Either reality knocking to tell you to accept you dont have time to play games or acceptance that you wont achive more with a investment of 20 min/day and should lower the bar.
It’s simple really, don’t do quests that take a l long time. Doing one quest that takes 35 minutes is not time efficient.
No no guys i m very happy i found the reason for this. I m in Dragonblight and i have finished all the quests except 3 ones which have a grey exclamation. Like I am at 73 lvl+17 segments and i cant take them because are given at 74 level. So the various addons lead me to these quest givers but impossible to take them of course.
So far i have spent about 30 min trying to find the next quest to do and i finally decided to try to go to Howling fjord in order to get these last segments done and return then again back to Archmage Modera to take the Magical kingdom of Dalaran as the addon suggests. This would take another 30 min i guess.
I rather hustle then careers. thats my style
Can it be that you’re just killing stuff very slow and/or looking around for objectives too long?
On average how long does a mob take to die for you? Do you have questie telling you where to go? Do you have a 100% ground mount?
Seems to me you spend way to much time finishing up zones and looking around. At 73 go grizzly hills, at 74-75 go zul drak, 76-77 scholazar (very good xp btw) at 78 storm peaks and after Icecrown. Do NOT go to howling fjord at 73 
Don’t busy yourself with looking for that last quest. Even when you ding after a quest and get the follow up, move to the next zone. More quests and more xp per quest.
Find a group for a dungeon where the party is interested in doing it over and over again for EXP. On my way to 80 I probably did the majority of 5 levels only from dungeon, EXP from killing mobs in a dungeon that is.
