I just crashed after the latest patch, this has to be the first time too, WoW is one of these games that NEVER crash for me.

I’m in the same boat, started a very similar thread. Frustrating beyond belief!
Same here, a lot of game crashes today. Tried disabling all addons, no positiv result.
Not that I heard of, I thought it could be a problem with RTX (raytracing or smth) but then launched WoW on my old GTX 1080ti, crashes still happening. Its this fukin todays patch, blizzard side 
This fixed the crashing for me, but now I feel my FPS is lower. I hope this gets fixed soon. War Within etc. are looking good, but I have a bad feeling that it may be rushed.
Try disabling Optional GPU features only, fps should be back, but game will be uglier 
Experimented a bit and I am starting to think they messed smth up in today`s patch with SSAA and rendering. I turned all options on again (Optional GPU features on), maxed out everything in graphics (raytracing on high), resolution 1080 but I set my rendering slider to 100% (full hd), instead 200% (4k). For now, no crashes.
having same problem on all of my alts, the game only seems to let me play the character that unlocked the warband on
Did they fix this with today’s restart by any chance?

Does anyone know, can I turn off this new graphic features via additional cmd arguments, like -windowed? What are the commands?
I don’t think so but I hope Blizzard fixes this before TWW releases because the graphics are ugly at 100%…
So it seems they definitely messed up something. The two options mentioned earlier are NOT a problem for me, however, changing resolution scale from anything other than 100% creates the problem. I always had it at 98%, otherwise the game looks like it’s smeared with vazeline.
