Lots of classes feel both DULL and great at the same time, it’s nice to see a lot of new abilities or passive procs that plays into classes rotation, however sometimes we forget the old abilities we once had that are LONG gone and forgotten and the momentum of the class or the flow changes and makes things feel slow or dull… I have a few suggestions I really hope blizzard will maybe read and try:
Death and Decay: GCD lowered by 0,5 (+ old sound effekt or changed apperance)
Soul Reaper: Which would back in WOD give you 50% haste buff for a short duration after it claims a killing blow. Or rather the ability actually doing more dmg than Obliterate crits. It’s sad that the dmg priority of an execute from the frost DK is not to use Soul Reaper because it’s either not consuming killing machine or just simply not doing better dmg than obliterate. We need the extra abilities to matter in making a skilled player have better dmg rather than a oversimplified rotation with gear stat priority as a means to gaining the advantage over other players.
I miss some momentum frost dk once had, and the fact that our AOE is not Frostscythe anymore makes me sad, because death and decay feels slow on activation where as Frostscythe was reactive and ingaging back in legion where it consumed the killing machine. Leaving you ingaged with procs and timing. But now u dont have it and your rotation boils down to very small key CD’s being used rather than your flowing rotation.
(To further point out, there was a time Pillar of frost was not OFF-Gcd which felt incredibly slow and tedious leaving you with to very very slow combat, which I can easily feel when I’m putting Death and Decay down for Obliterate cleave. It feels slow because you’re doing a setup for what your brain wants to do, but are being delayed to much to initiate it because of this long GCD waittime. We either need less of that or more of a flow with rotation and reaction abilities.)
