The Headless Horseman rework is VERY fun. Well done, Blizzard!

It actually felt challenging without being too hard or frustrating. Well done!

I really like this redone version of the Headless Horseman. Also the Area looks more nice too!

I really like the new version too

Ehm. Do you know there is npc what you can actualy talk to to turn on hard mod right?

yupp he was still destroyed effortlessly

I didn’t, what’s the bonus for doing so?

Found it, cool!

Agreed, though they could have made the four buff achievement a tad bit more challenging.

Same got it years ago.

They added 4 wickermen you speak to and get 4 x debuff that supposed to make it a bit more challenging and the mechanics are a bit different. Also added a puppy pet as new loot. Go check it out even just once.

Aye same i like the mechanics the 4 curses give
all reward thats % was buffed was one ring and not the doggo for now

I like the new version myself, taking the various curses makes for a good compromise between being zergfest legacy content and proper current boss level of difficulty.

It was okay, but a few comments:

  • Removal of the infamous line “Get over here you idiot” was disappointing and spoilt the experience. It didn’t have to be 3 phases of it, even just one of that would have kept the experience alive.
  • The Hardmode wasn’t particularly hard, it was more of a “run around all the time” mode.
  • The Headless Horseman Lore was really good before hand, why did they need to turn it into another crappy love story.

Having said that, it did need a refresh. But the refresh didn’t need to be so lame. But that has been Dragonflight all over… Surface Content.

I’m honestly like “What?” to this.

I’ve done it 18 times so far. I want the pet. I didn’t know about Hardmode the first day, so I’ve only done 9 that way.

Most of the experience is waiting for about 15 minutes - I don’t remember the queues being that long, certainly not in the first days. And that was because I waited for prime time; I saw the queue time in the morning and NOPEd out immediately. So 9 runs (3 Tank, 6 DPS) takes about 2 hours at the shortest, which is as much as I can stand.

The encounter itself is no more interesting, probably less so since the head-chase has been removed. It’s just longer, depending on the party you’re with. What is the point of doing that in a holiday dungeon that people will farm so many times?? What are they thinking? Do they have any sense of what they’re doing?

This is probably why the queues are so bad.

I’ve seen one person die in those 18 runs - a level 62 that zigged when he should have zagged. Meh.

There’s more litter on the ground, I guess, if you find that interesting. :person_shrugging:

If you carry on like this Blizzard are going to fire you from the marketing team…

Actually, I found it very good concept, how hard mode was implemented here. It allows people to increase difficulty and rewards only for themselves without influencing anyone other, but still in group content. You can handle curses? Wp, you have better chance of reward. You didn’t manage? You don’t die sabotaging the run, but lose increase reward chance and continue in a normal mode. I would like to see that kind of approach more, when someone could individually tweak their experience without concerning/discussions/need of other group members to align.
