The horror of the necrotic wake

Well, I don’t like to “vent” on the forums, hell I don’t post on them either unless its a bug. But the necrotic wake is wrecked what little sanity I had left! Now I had a +5 key and waited for over a hour to get a group, all looked good everyone but me was over 600, am 598. So we start first boss dead quite fast all looking good, but then, hell awoke in Amarth, wipe after wipe arguing over how to kill him and name calling kicked off 3 wipes later the healer leaves.

So +4 same thing again wait for like 45 mins kill the first boss and Amarth sticks his boney foot up our rear ends once again, more arguing more fighting and now am on a +3 and now am waiting for a group for 30 mins with no hope in sight…

Someone make this make sence…

To be fair you didn’t even get to the hard boss in there which is the 3rd one.

Just kill & interrupt the mage adds as prio. That is not even near the hardest bosses we have this season.

Well, a small update. Got a good grp and we did the +3 with I think 1 death. I did it when it was current and I don’t remember it being as tough. Wile I do like hard content as that is what pushes ppl to get better, I do think its STILL slightly overtuned for the basic pug grp.

Triple spear and one chance at killing Stitchflesh is not fun in it’s current form. Needs fixing IMO to be more in line with the other bosses.

Can’t remember it being this bad back in SL. You needed decent execution with hooks. Ironically we used to have weapons for last boss from what I remember.

Stitchflesh did got a 20% nerf this weekend. But i totally agree it is stupid you have basically 1 attempt where you throw your weapons and use shield. When you wipe you have to walk out.
Allthough i understand wiping on a boss often means not timing, for NW it means you can not finish the dungeon at all.

Just kill the adds and it’s an easy kill

I still did 940k hps on a 4 after the change.

Its still a huge outlier, most other fights dont need close to that output at that low key level.

Need higher ilvl

Interrupt the mage, and kill the ads, 2nd boss goes down smoothly enough with that.

However the 2nd boss is the warm-up round for the fun that is the the 3rd…

More precise; interrupt the volley-casts of the 2 mages.

I didn’t really budge about stitchflesh yesterday, admittedly it wasn’t on tyrannical yet I think it was +2.

What’s so hard about it? The hook is pretty straightforward.

The add is having a stacking dot that pulses AOE damage on the group. The longer it stays alive the more damage the group gets.
It is already nerfed for 20% over the weekend.

I did this as a +6 and for some reason there was a aoe damage and absorb shield I never noticed before … Until it happend. So I feel your pain about it but I think the problem is the enrage he needs calming down and prior the adds ofc. Plan is to try again tonight and see how it goes 700k hps is more then enough anything more and it smells fishy

It’s not a hps check like others, just feels like bad defensive usage and blame the healer game as usual lol

Necrotic bolts of the boss (interruptable) does damage and leaves an absorb on the target. Was also in Shadowlands.

Good to know, thanks I thought I’d not seen it before guessing the group I was in just wasn’t interrupting. That’s makes me feel better
