The Infinites were done dirty

So, as a disclaimer, I loved the megadungeon and I would have that over most raids, but I think the overall treatment of the Infinite Dragonflight as a plotline was rushed.

First of all, how come a character as forgettable as Sarkareth gets his own big patch, when what is widely considered to be the most interesting Dragon faction in the game gets a sub-patch. And after this, Nozdormu says that it is no longer an inescapable fate that he will become Murozond, and (spoilerish alert) one of the last Infintes we know about, Eternus, gets a cutscene in the new smaller patch that sparks a reconcilliation between him and the Bronze, if I got that correctly?

So you are telling me that the Infintes, as a plotline, have ended with 10.1.5? Of course they could bring them back but now it seems to me that the stakes are a lot lower and that they probably will not anyway.

But what more would I want for them? Well, we have been waiting since Cataclysm to see the Infinites return as a faction, and they got a sub-patch in the expansion (as compared to Sarkareth). What more could an actual patch have for them, since I said I liked the mega dungeon anyway? Well, for one, the time rifts were short events and we only saw a glimpse of those universes just to quickly kill a miniboss.

Now, imagine if we had whole questlines/scenarios on those universes, allowing to explore them more, and perhaps even have more universes than just these ones. That’s the type of thing I would expect from a patch concerning time, at least. Maybe we could have some new sets on the theme, that are not recolors from Cataclysm. Maybe we could have a longer and deeper storyline. Not what we got.

And I say all this because it was essentially a send-off, even if they do return, which is unlikely, nobody will care as much.

I think it was a bit of a waste, and I won’t stop making fun of the fact that Sarkareth got his own patch and Campaign… No: He got BOTH a sub-patch and a big patch.
Whatever…

Exactly, it’s time travel they could still make an entire expansion out of the infinite dragon flight. If the Infinites are still popular Blizzard will find a way to work them back into the story. Illidan…

The End Time dungeon in cataclysm should have been a raid.

Not to mention that all the last heroic dungeons in cataclysm were done dirty on difficulty after the glory that came earlier.

Bro thinks there is any cohesive good storytelling after wrath

I mean… what more can they do with them? We already defeated Murozond.
