The issue with group finder - Alternatives?

I’ve noticed that people keep declining your signups in group finder all because you don’t have the experience for it. So when you stand up for their demands on gear-check, you’re still denied.

This has caused a huge imbalance between high demands versus knowledge check and experience which keeps being put up like a gap in between for those want to try and improve.

Pick-up-Groups or PUG’s as they are called where one joins up with a group of strangers that doesn’t accept you if haven’t yet proven that you’ve done this before several times in a high-end difficulty.

Same thing applies vice versa where the issue of a group of experienced players who ends up getting people who proclaim to be experienced but lacks the skills for mechanics to perform well enough joins a group experienced players and ends up draging them behind rather than helping out.

Which leads one to wonder, How can one begin if one doesn’t even know how to begin building themselves up with this sort of experience, especially when being new to something that you don’t know how to, in order to get more experience into the desired difficulty and challenges that the new player are seeking after.

This feels like it’s a bit of a grey zone. It’s up to each and one that decides if you’re the right person for the right difficulty of a certain content of discovering how everything works.

Sometimes I even believe that what you’re trying to do, feels a bit similar of sending an application for a position that you’ve yearned so much for.
Only to end up realising that they’ve seen your list of experience and it doesn’t stand up for their demands of having neither enough experience or knowledge for it.

So i.e. if I want to join a mythic group or a heroic raid, I will most likely be declined because I haven not done the fights enough to show I can do this.

I don’t even know if Blizzard will ever have a way that will make one match for right dungeon content or show that this person has done this dungeon this many times and therefore should be matched with these kind of folks.

m+is the easy part if u ask me u start low and u grow

u wont be instant invited to a +10 hell im a healer with ilvl 425 ( pretty decent ) s2 score of 1400 and even i wont be invited…

but i understand it,i havent build my s3 score yet… started with +4/5 and 3 chested those things and went up from there (6/7/8) if u got all/most dungeons @ +9 u have a bigger chance to be invited to a +10

or build ur own key ofcourse. for a dps it wil ALWAYS be harder to find groups as there are alot more dps to pick from.

raiding on the other hand ? my advice is once a raid comes out spam the dam raid on normal took me 3/4 days and alot of pug’s to get 7/8 normal did some bosses more than once in the first lockout just to get more and more kills.

once i had 7/8 normal i went for HC groups, they aint asking for curve yet most will take u with 7/8normal

most where able to down the first boss and fail after it,same here alot of groups and alot of try’s to kill more and more bosses… today i managed to get 4/8 HC

but next lockout i wont have a big problem finding a group as i can show i am 4/8

first 1-3 weeks people are learning and accept mistakes, after that ? u better know ur stuff or it wil be dam hard to find a pug

Make your own group.

/thread

not relly why would u risk u own key while u cen pug some 1 else keys mean Always risk fail even if it 10 or 15

gone 1000 my own keys push it up only get knock down again suck relly hurt

Or Try to look at it from a perspective of persona that is making a group. you start a group after 30 sec you got like 20 dps in wait list applaing to join, Why shoud you pick person who dont know what to do when you got 19 other who do ?

well at the moment you mostly see 1600 rio players do +10, so I also don’t get invited with my lousy 1k score.
I don’t even get invited to +5

The only choice I have is to always play my own key, which is fine as long as you don’t have a dead key.
Tyrannical is really hard with our low key at the moment, so this week is pretty bad for gearing up I feel.

Generally the biggest issue I see is that PUGs only pick fotm classes/specs and all others are left in the dust.
If you are no dh, rogue, mage or boomie, chances are very high you get declined anyways, regardless of your rio
