With these recent hotfixes, I actually feel worse.
Everyday I refresh wow forums / wowhead / reddit, hoping for some form of communication or hotfixes regarding the state of MW from a Dev of some kind and I haven’t seen any since season 1 started.
Today, FINALLY, we see some “Buffs” to a pvp talent that no one takes right now, I need Zen focus, I need Eminence to get away from the melee, I need refreshing breeze to make my healing useful for the small amounts of time I’m safe to cast soothing and I need counter / grapple depending on type of dd i’m facing.
I’ll try Chrysalis, sure but I feel so locked into this loadout I almost know it won’t help.
Mana changes are welcome, but … without communication, how are we supposed to know that these are a “work in progress” or that they recognise that the issue with MW is a toolkit problem and not a tweaking numbers problem, just a small note in the hotfixes page of what they’re thought process is in these changes.
I have a feeling that the next time we’ll see another change is a while because this feels like a “This’ll keep em happy” change.
Having increased mana gen is not going to get me invited to any pugs and it certainly won’t help me whilst in a HoJ.
If I had to settle for a numbers tweak, I know this doesn’t make sense, but even if it was something like “MW has …% more armor against enemy players” or a new passive like that. That is a direct way of them saying “We know what the issue with this class is”. Mana? Mana? Its an issue but … not the biggest one.
If I had an indication that they know there is a fundamental issue and they are working on it, I’d actually be happy and look forward to changes.
Alas, there is nothing and must hope and pray that one of my refreshes brings me joy, in however many weeks or months time that is.
