The lack of logic behind conquest rewards

Why is a war supply chest that I find out in the world, already claimed by other members of the Alliance, giving me 60 conquest (and other rewards), while winning a solo rated battleground gives me 58? Why does spending a while gathering sparks of war less rewarding than clicking a chest that drops at regular intervals? It is literally more effective for me to gather conquest by waiting for chests to drop than actually doing rated pvp. I cannot get over the idea that Blizzard does not like PvPers.

Your alliance isnt 1:10 to horde in every zone, every hour of the day? I mean for me I would give alliance double the rewards, if they can snatch a chest with raids of horde around it.

Its the complete opposite on all servers I play on. It’s virtually impossible to get a chest as horde, because every shard is full alliance, even on Kazzak, Twisting nether (these are the biggest H side btw).
So there is zero reason to even try gearing a horde character, because on alliance I did 3 chars to full 237-238 iLvL in 7-8 hours each from zero. On horde I gave up after losing 6 crates in a row, not possible currently.

BTW, there is even a stronger meta nowadays then chests. Buy pvp trinket. Set up static fly mode and just afk above the big combat area in the current Weekly quest zone. Under you there will usually be 50-100 ppl killing each other. Don’t engage. Wait for one to become Assasin. Wait for others to kill him. Fly down, loot satchel with 60 Conq + 60 Coins + 200 honor. Escape from Fight. Fly above again. Usually someone becomes assasin every 5 minutes on a popular shard, so it’s faster then flying around the zones for crates, and wayy faster then any kind of bg/arenas to grind out.
