The Lack of Void Elf Customization Options

There is so much hate in your post, that I doubt there is much I can say to defend our group, or sway your opinion. All I can say is I’m sorry you feel this way.

I don’t know. I love the Alliance. I love Blood elves. You cannot be on the Alliance and also be a Blood elf. Now that Void elves exist, I can be on the Alliance and also be a Thalassian elf. I am very happy about that, and I’m grateful to Blizzard for giving us Void elves and all the improvements in customization that came with them.

But because of all that hate towards the people who asked for Thalassians on the Alliance as they were so incredibly popular, Blizzard eventually gave in to the request, but there was a severe catch. We had to be blue, tentacles sprouting of our head, with very limited customization options.

You are on the opposite side. You will never understand how it feels ignoring a feature you love for 7 years because you can’t have it on the faction you love, and then, when you finally are given it, it’s something secondary. Not of the same quality. I feel bad talking like this about my fellow Void elves, I really do. But there were so many things wrong about them before the improvements made to them, that you couldn’t simply ignore them…

KING** I am angy right now >:c Death onto the elf campaign at the expense of all others.
They re blonde enough. White enough. Blue eyed enough. Heck!

You mistake my hate for our shared History. You must be new to these forums… But these Elf campaings aren’t new. And I used to back them. Up untill very recently.

But its becomme evidentely clear. No matter how much you recieve. Unless your always priority number 1 over all else. you wont be satesfied.

Who would have known? That players who played Elves. Would live up to their mirror sterotypes on our forums too…

‘‘Mirror mirror on the wall… Give my playable Race the most customazation options before them all’’ Everyone else is just a hater anyway.

I don’t want to be nr 1 priority. Can’t they just focus on providing some good customization to several races for 9.2.5 so we can all be happy? Or at least most of us?

That whas what I said… Before your first reply… telling me to make one for each… Interfaring with this one?

Nop I meant make a thread for Kul’tiran, Dark Iron, Vulpera all together not a thread for each separately. Because they’re several races and will take quite a bit of commentary so I suggested it to be more organised.

this is where we crash… I want one for all… Yes I could make one my self. Dont think it would gardner much attention though if I did.

My point is Elves and their wishes dominates these forums… Despite all you have already got. Its ungrateful. Take a breather

I don’t see the issue. I was honestly never a HE fan. Void stuff is really interesting to me. I was never part of any of these elf campaigns on forums as you call them. Once Void Elves got introduced, I instantly fell in love with them. I am not happy with them giving us some BE stuff, but I guess it’s a dream come true for HE fans.

In the end, we want to push them to make stuff that could work for both VE and HE fans and that means new hairstyles that come with and without a tentacle option. Then you can imagine tentacle customization. We have ideas such as other purple & dark blue tentacles, including the braids option for same tentacle models that could be awesome for HE fans. I am mentioning all of these things because we have a huge wish list and the blue specifically asked us here about what we want to see added for Void Elves.

I think the main problem for NON-Elf players is that they can’t stand that Elves are among the most playable races, BUT Blizzard can stand it because they know where the money lays. I am pretty sure customization can bring a certain person back to subbing.
And another issue for non-Elf players is that elf players are the most who push their wishlists for customization. I believe other threads wouldn’t be “popular” like these threads so I guess that’s the main issue for people.

People were unhappy with Worgen models. They got new ones finally.
People were unhappy with Nightborne options. Now they got plenty and they’re awesome.

We are almost certain that Void Elves, LF Draenei and M Orcs are the next on the list for 9.2.5 customization and we want to make sure they know what we want. But I want to make it clear, I can assure you non of these Void/High Elf fans want customization update only to be for us. Customization for everyone would be awesome. But I can’t stand the fact that I am limited to choose a few void stuff on my Void Elf character knowing other races such as Night Elves, Blood Elves and especially humans have so many options.

Can we deal with races on an individual basis, instead of clamping the allied race with their core race counterpart?

For example - red eyes should just be for Blood Elves.
Void features should just be for Void Elves
More leaf / nature decoration should just be for Night Elves.
Arcane glowing feet should just be for Nightborne.

I’m getting a little tired of things having to be shared, because it takes away uniqueness from all races.

High elf or Void elf fan getting the issue or not… Is either you like it or not… Elf campaings regardless have been the most hot topic and discussed threads when as far as customizastions are concerned for several years…

I am just so done with it. I want more for everyone. Not just the race that forum campaigned it the most.

I agree. I personally want more Void stuff for Void Elves. Like 95%. With stuff like customizable tentacles into braids like I mentioned above being added for HE fans. Tattoos in blue and purple colors (while adding the gold, red and green for Blood Elves at the same time). etc.

But both in different styles, so you know which are clearly Void/High Elf (Alliance) and which are Blood Elven (Horde.)

All races should be unique. I’ve seen Void Elf / High Elf fans demand that all current Blood Elf features should go to Void Elves, plus more Void features, so the allied race has more than the core race and the core race is made to feel like an old relic, gathering dust. Almost like Blood Elves should be forgotten.

This isn’t good either.

We’re also pretty tired of trying to get a proper customization pass mate. I can assure you that there is no fanbase that will ever accept recolours only as a full customization pass. And so far we only got skin colours and hair colours so yeah. We are tired as well, but we try to fight for what we’re passionate about. If you want feel free to comment what you want to see for Vulpera. I might make a thread with certain customization requests and animation requests for Night elves, Dwarves, humans, trolls, tauren etc.

I have seen this. And for opposite side like VE stuff being given to BEs. I completely agree it should all be original and we had concepts for VEs getting just 5-6 “pale” skin colors and 4-5 normal hair colors, but I was surprised that they decided to copy paste all skin and most hair colors. What’s done is done and I’m sure it made plenty of people happy regardless

I certainly could… But wasn’t High elves in the Alliance what you all wanted from the very begining? …How you all hated the void elves when they arrived ‘‘No one asked for this’’ And all that… You got two races in the package of one… Even better than the Original blood elves.

I’m fine with that myself, but I think Void Elves should have unique hairstyles, features and things associated with their home of Telogrus. I’d even approve of the notion that many of the Void Elves were former Sunfury Blood Elves and they have bases across Netherstorm and that zone is dedicated to Arcane and Void study, which is perfect for the Void Elves.

As far as the hair colours go, I think they were fine because we’ve seen the same happen when Blood Elves came out in TBC and many of the Human hair colours and skin tones were put onto the playable blood elf race (not the vanilla Blood Elf model.)

Hmmm this is not an absolute assumption. Many of the original high elf fans were satisfied when they got the natural skin colours and stopped at that. But not everyone was pleased. I’m a bit different in my case. I loved void elves but when the natural skins came out and I saw how irrelevant they looked along with the hair colours that triggered me to set out in my own attempt to establish new hair colours for us.

Also I think the fact that all Legion ARs got brand new customizations and void elves did not also kinda makes us wonder why not void elves too.

We are literally the same then xD After high elves became an option and we got what we campaigned for, For all these years… I started seeing more what was great about the Void elves and their lore. So much more rp and story to make about them… Than another plain and ordinary blue eyed elf. In that sense.
