The lore part has been set up its just the way they have gone about it. When Sylvanus is fighting bolvar and says this whole world is a prison no one picked that up. Azeroth is imprisoned the Tome of Sargaras is the key. The way things have been portrayed with that location , theres something else down may guess the key to releasing Azeroth herself.

Just like I am probably not the only one who thinks there are some people who whine too much about the lore being ‘ridiculous’.
