Kinda funny with this being the shadowlands and Blizzard forgot about the legendary Grommash Hellscream, father of Garrosh Hellscream. I’m not talking about the one from WoD, I am talking about the one from Warcraft 3.
Instead we get Draka, also from WoD, a literal who with no backstory becoming the greatest warrior in Maldraxxus for some reason.
But then again, maybe it is for the better. They would make Grommash completely neutered or face backlash from their tumblrdrones on Twitter for being toxic masculinity. You know, with them trying to make anything problematic in World of Warcraft as of late.
On the other hand, they cast the female leaders of the Shadowlands as completely stupid characters who knew pretty much nothing about what was going on until the intervention from the Maw Walker and other Azerothian characters.
Zovaal knew stuff, The Primus knew stuff and Danathrius knew stuff both in context of what we’ve seen in game and the speculations people have made about various text/cinematics.
Be honest here, with seeing how they treated all the other OG characters in this expansion do you really want current day Blizzard touching Grom ?
Also my head cannon is that his soul evaporated from the fel explosion similarly to Varian so he is spared the embarrassment of the shadowlands. Thinking back on it Illidan and Sargeras did really both Gul’dans a favor there didn’t they? One day I too want to be reduced to a wonderful pile of green dust and be spared meeting Pelegos again.
