As this hero of Mandalore travels many worlds, I couldn’t but wonder the similiarties to WoW and Quests.
The Mandalorian is us “the heroes”
The Quest givers are those he helps on their missions just as we do in Azeroth, helping our allies whilst it brings us closer to our overall arching objective.

Well, for example the Mandalorian’s goal is to deliver baby yoda, our main goals include saving azeroth and we do this by helping our allies, doing missions etc
I thought you meant a specific goal for horde or alliance. I play the game to get better gear usually.
Would the game really be that much worse if we let some of the baddies win sometime?
in that case, hercules and xena are vanilla wow players.
they do alot of meaningless quests while the actual lore comes in later seasons (endgame/expansions). they also meet on their adventures key characters like the king of thieves autolycus, salesman salmoneus and joxter the mighty !

I saw some youtube vids about it but there’s no way I’m paying Disney for a sub. From what I can tell it follows the formula of the old fantasy/sci-fi from the 90s and early 2000s with each episode being more focused of telling it’s own short story rather than continuing a longer and more complex story like Game of Thrones. So yeah, I guess you are right. Kind of like a quest. A weekly quest.

“Hero’s journey”, though, unlike Azeroth heroes, the mandalorien doesn’t have to kill 200 pigs and collect their tails along with other obscure and strange things. I happened to land a quest where I stole some laxative from a gnome and fed to a stone giant to collect his precious droppings. Don’t see the mandalorien doing such things.
not exactly. mandalorian doesnt make you want to kill yourself.
I refuse to pay an extra sub to Disney atm. I’ll wait for it to hit other channels.
