This concept was introduced in a French 2D MMO called Dofus. Here’s how it works:
You create your alt.
If you have one character whose level is above your alt’s current level, your alt gets 100% increased XP until it catches up. If you have two higher level characters, your alt gets 200%. In Dofus, they capped this bonus at 300% bonus XP.
Let’s say you only have one level 34 character.
Your alt will get 100% bonus XP until it reaches level 34, at which point the XP bonus will fade. If your alt then reaches levels higher than 34, it is your previous character who will benefit from the XP bonus.
This system is really lovely and I’d love it to be implemented in WoW. I don’t expect it to happen though, as they really want us to get that 60€ level boost cash.
This character is. But I’ve since moved on to Kazzak with the characters I do play.
French servers are horrible because you can’t queue for dungeons/random BGs with non-French people. You’re limited to French realms and that severely increases queue times.
